This is my first time writing a story, it'll probably be similar to a few popular garnet x reader stories cause that's where i got my inspiration and i do apologise for that. For the purpose of the story and to make it easier and go with the ideas i have for this story here are some facts about you (for the story).
Your gem is a Lapis Lazuli, its located on your lower back (the top of the gem is at your waist and the bottom ends where your hip bone starts).
You have no knowledge on your mother or what she did or what powers she had (so you have no idea what powers you have).
Your gem has been cracked since a few days after you were born (and neither you nor your dad know it's cracked, it's only cracked enough to not allow you your powers, not bad enough where it affects you.
You're a year older than Steven but because your dad took your mother's death so hard you don't celebrate it, and don't know exact when your birthday is, you only know what month it is in.
This is also set from season 2 onwards, most of this will take place in between episodes, so it'll refer to episodes but not really have the events of episodes, sometimes if i feel i should add you to a certain episode i will but it won't happen too often so don't expect it a lot, if i do add you to an episode i'll tell you the season number, episode number and the title of the episode (acording to Stan).
You have naturally blue hair (because you gained that trait from your Lapis Lazuli gem mum) but often hide it with beanies or hoodies and used to dye it a natural hair colour to try to fit in.
You used to get bullied for your gem and blue hair, so hide them and keep them a secret so you can try to fit in to the best of your abilities.
More information will be introduced throughout the story (dont wanna release too much, gotta make the story somewhat interesting after all)
Also, my story contains some triggering stuff, such as abuse, mentioning of suicide, alcohol/drunk and self harm, so if you get triggered by any of these i suggest you don't read this, I'll be saying warning at the beginnning of every chapter that has some of these thing in the story, but I won't be specifying what is in that chapter
