Chapter 12; So, Roommates?

This chapter is based off Season 3 Episode 4, with major changes in the story, sorry bout that but i decided to do it

Your P.O.V
Peridot talks into the recorder, i wasn't really listening, i was trying to figure out why Lapis hated Peridot so much
"(y/n) I'm sorry, but this isn't going to work out. I really thought i was going to be living alone (y/n), i can't live with her" Lapis says
"Wait what? Why? Why do you hate Peridot so much?" I say beginning to get annoy at her cold attitude
"I can't stand the thought of having to looking at her everyday. She's the one who brought me back to Earth" she says angrily
"Hey! It wasn't my idea! I was headed to Earth and needed an informant ok? It should have been a simple mission. It didn't exactly work out for me either!" Peridot talks back annoyed
"You used me like everyone else did! You trapped me in that jail cell on the ship! If it wasn't for you i would be back on Homeworld, if it wasn't for you i wouldn't of been fused to Jasper at the bottom of the ocean!" Lapis yells at Peridot
'Lapis seems to think that it's Peridot's fault that Lapis is now stuck back on the Earth and that she can't go home..... that isn't healthy' i think to myself as i hear Lapis have a go at Peridot
"It wasn't my fault! I was just doing as i was told, besides it's not like that anymore! I've changed. I sabotaged my own mission! I helped saved the Earth from the Cluster! I even yelled at Yellow Diamond! She's probably sending a whole fleet to find me and shatter me right now! I'm kind of a big deal, a big anti-Homeworld deal!" Peridot explains
"I'm sorry (y/n), i just don't think this will work out..." Lapis says as she walks up to me, placing a hand on my shoulder giving me a reassuring look before walking outside the barn and flies on top of the Silo in the meadow.
My pocket starts to buzz, i get out my phone and look at it, Steven is calling me, i pick up
"(y/n) where are you!? I thought you had gone back to the Temple or something last night but when we got here you weren't here, we were so worried, we've searched all of Beach City for you!" Steven says worried
"Oh my gosh Steven, I'm so sorry, i didn't realise i left you guys out of the loop, i explain everything when i see you guys at the Temple, I'm kinda in the middle of something, don't worry I'm safe, I'm at the barn, i have to call you back later, bye Steven" i quickly say
"(y/n) wai-" Steven gets cut off when i hang up
I turn to peridot
"I'm sorry Peridot, i didn't realise you guys had a bad history" i apologise to Peridot
"Yes but that's in the past, it's not like that anymore! She obviously doesn't realise things have changed, i want her to understand that thing's are ok now and i want to be friends!" Peridot yells
"Peridot~, that's so sweet, that's it! That's what's we need to show her!" I say
"Show her..... my sweet?" Peridot asks confused
"I know, we can give her a card, card's a great way to show someone you care about them when you can't see them, or they refuse to see you, we gotta show her you're nice" i explain, i fold a bit piece of paper in half
"Here, now you draw a picture on the front and on the inside you write an apology to her, show her your sorry, and usually a compliment works as well, just be as sincere as you can" i say with a smile on my face
<~~ Time Skip ~~>
We're on the ground trying to call Lapis who's laying on the top of the Silo
"Hey Lazuli! Hey Lazuli! Hey! Lazuli~!" Peridot calls
Lapis ignores her, Peridot turns to me confused
"Why isn't she coming down?" She asks me
"Hmm, give me the card, I'll go up and give it to her" i say to Peridot
Peridot gives me the card and i pull out my water wings and fly up to the top of the Silo, Lapis notices me and sits up
"Oh hey (y/n), what's up?" She asks me
"Hi Lapis, Peridot was calling you from the ground, she wanted to give you this" i hand her the card
"Peridot worked really hard on it, she wanted to apologise" i explain
" 'Sorry i interrogated you. You were just full of such useful information. That's a sincere compliment. Peridot' " Lapis reads the card allowed
"Is she kidding? I'm not just gonna forgive her like that!" Lapis drops the card off the edge of the Silo and it falls on Peridot's face
"Are you serious Lapis!? She's really trying! She worked on that for an hour!" I say angrily, flying off the Silo
Peridot and I brainstorm in the barn
"Maybe a gift?" I suggest
"Ah! Yes, but what? Hmmm, Lapis Lazuli's are partial to water and flying" Peridot says
"Hmmm, water..... i have an idea!" I say excited
<~~ Time Skip ~~>
I guide Lapis to the surprise, i had used a piece of old fabric to over her eyes
"Here we are!" I say, untying the blindfold on Lapis
"H-2 oh my gosh, it's a smaller than average lake!" Peridot says, using an old tire tube as a floatie
"It's from the hole when Steven and Peridot drilled. Peridot and i sealed it and filled it with water for you" i explain to Lapis
"It's a gift for you! You know, cause water's your thing. Pretty good right? The barn's out here in the country but now you can get your moisture fix whenever. Do all the water stuff you do" Peridot says happily
"Water? Seriously? You do realise i spent the last few months trapped under the ocean right?" Lapis questions
"Well, k-kinda bu-" Peridot starts
"It was an endless, crushing darkness, wet and bleak and suffocating. Water was the tomb i lived in for those months" Lapis says, scaring Peridot
"T-tomb you say?" Peridot says trying to hide how she scared she is
"Yes, so, I'm kinda taking a break from water right now.... but thanks, i guess, for the... lake" Lapis says
Lapis flies away without saying another word
Peridot is being to get extremely frustrated
"Maybe we should just, talk to her?" I say
We go outside close to the Silo
"Lapis, can you come down here for a second?" I say politely
"Now!" I say growing annoyed
Lapis flies down
"What is it?" Lapis says equally as annoyed
"Peridot would like to speak to you, and no running away Lapis" i say, i step out of the way and Peridot steps forward
"Look, i get it, you know, you're confused, you can never go back to Homeworld, this place doesn't exactly feel like home yet! You're alone! No one could possibly know what that feels like! Oh wait, i do! We're the same! Except.... you don't have to be alone. So tell me then, what you want from me and whatever that is.... I'll do it" Peridot says, letting it all out
"I want you.... to leave!" Lapis yells
"Ok.." Peridot says, giving up
Peridot just walks away, Lapis comes up behind me and stands next to me
"Lapis! What is wrong with you!? Why are you so mean to her!? She's really trying!! She just wanted to be friends!!!" I scream at her
"Why do you trust her (y/n)?" She asks me
"Because I know her Lapis! Because instead of not even giving her a chance, I got to know her before deciding i hated her. You're not even giving her a chance, you should've at least got to know her before you decided you hated her! All she wanted to do was make amends and be friends! But now it's too late, and she's never coming back" i yell at Lapis
We hear screaming coming from a distance, i turn around to see Peridot running back to us
"Ahhhhhhhh!! They're here!!" Peridot screams as she runs past us
A red ship comes through the clouds, with a yellow light beaming down. We run away to Peridot who's hiding in the barn
"Peridot, what is that ship!?" I ask
"It's a Roaming Eye, a Homeworld tracking vessel, i told you, I'm public enemy number 1!" Peridot says
The Roaming Eye finds us hidden in the barn, we run out, Peridot screaming as we run. It stops us and the yellow light is fixated on Peridot, she's terrified as the light is on her
"Th-this is it (y/n), they're going to wipe my precious grin off the face of this planet!" Peridot says terrified, hugging onto me for her life
"Don't worry Peridot, I'll protect you" i say, holding my arms up and standing in between her and the ship protectively
Suddenly Lapis walks past us in front of the ship, she turns and looks at Peridot, who is peering over my shoulder, still scared
Lapis uses her powers to create a water hand using the pool we made for her and she uses the hand to flick the ship and then slam it into the ground, damaging it severely and burying it into the ground
"Wow" i say
Suddenly Steven jumps at me and hugs me, the Gems behind him
"Are you alright!? We all saw the Roaming Eye and came as fast as we could!" Steven yells
"Yeah, I'm fine, Lapis.... saved us" I say smiling at him, pulling him off me
"But, it looks like Homeworld really has it out for Peri" i continue, looking at the Gems
Peridot tries to scurry away, afraid of Lapis
"Peridot" Lapis says, scaring Peridot, causing her to freeze, she turns around slowly
"Are you ok?" Lapis asks, genuinely concerned
I can feel the hope for them grow as Lapis asks, Peridot smiles goofily and giggles, Lapis turns away blushing and we all chuckle at their silliness.
The ship door suddenly opens, scaring all of us and a red gem, with their gem where her left eye should be, climbs out and looks at us
"Oh god..... this is gonna be a whole thing isn't it....?" I say
