Chapter 19; Control

Your P.O.V
I decided to do some water power training with Lapis today, i wear my swimwear (bikini top and girl swim trunks, to show my gem but still try not to show off too much skin) and put a dress over them. I pack a backpack full of stuff i think i might need. Food, water, sunscreen, a towel, and clothes to put on after I'm dry. And head over to their warp pad
"I'm going to the barn for water training with Lapis, I'll probably be back around dinner time" i announce
"Oh uh, ok, have fun (y/n)" Garnet says
"Bye (y/n~)!" Steven says waving as i warp to the barn.
Once i get there i greet Lapis and Peridot
"Hey guys! I'm so psyched for training! I've been wanting to figure out these powers and how to control them and use them for ages" I say excitedly
"Heh, yeah, it's going to be great, i hope i can teach you" Lapis says, a bit fearful
"I'm sure you'll be amazing Lapis, just try your best" Peridot encourages her
"Yeah! Just show me what you can do! And I'll try my best to copy you" I say
"Uh... ok, I'll show you the basics first" Lapis says, walking over to the pool Peri and I made for her
"Ok!" I say joyfully, following her
Lapis pushes the water up into a blob above her. I quickly take of backpack and dress and throw it towards the barn so it's away from the water and dry, and i copy Lapis. It mostly falls on me but at least half of it stays in the blob
"Good job" Lapis says
Lapis moves her arms and hands and the blob turns into a star, like the ones the Crystal Gems wear, i copy her arm and hand movements to the best of my ability and the blob turns into square
"Hehe, whoops, I'll try again" i say, moving my arms and hands again and i end up splashing it onto the Lapis
"Oh my gosh I'm sorry Lapis i didn't mea-" I begin before Lapis throws the water star at me, drenching me from head to toe
"Ha! That's what you get" Lapis says
"Oh yeah, two can play at that game!" I say, throwing a blob, as big as a water ballon, at Lapis, this time on purpose.
By the end of our water fight everyone was drenched, including Peridot
"Well that was fun, but now to pool is empty, we used all the water" I say
"No problem" Lapis says, she kneels on the ground and places her hands on the ground, she takes a deep breath in, closed her eyes, and she 'collects' the water, it flys off the ground, every single drop, and forms this massive blob, Lapis stands up and directs it back into the pool hole, i watch starry eyed
"Wow!! That was amazing Lapis!! I wanna be able to do stuff like that, i gotta practice more" I say happily, excited for a future where i could do awesome stuff like Lapis
"Th-thanks (y/n), i hope I'll be able to help you get to that point" Lapis says blushing
I see the sky go orange and realise the sun is setting
"Oh shoot, i have to go back to the Temple, the Gems and Steven are probably wondering why I'm not back yet" i say getting my stuff
"Thank you for the amazing day, I'll come by and visit again soon i swear" I say, pulling out my water wings and flying to the warp pad. I was about to step on before i stop
"You know what, it's such a lovely sunset, and I'm still soaking wet, I'm gonna fly home, i need to practice flying more anyways" I say to myself
"Can we join you? Or would you like to fly alone?"
I turn around to see Lapis and Peridot behind me, i smile softly
"Of course you can join me, you can always join me" i say gently.
Lapis and I take turns carrying Peridot, tossing her around like dolphins with a beach ball
"Ahhh, stop tossing me!" Peridot says, scared she might fall, and seeing how high we are, i don't blame her
"Alright alright, Lapis can take one arm and I'll take the other, fair?" I suggest
"Ok!" Lapis agrees
Lapis takes Peridot's left arm and i take Peridot's right arm and we both carry Peridot.
By the time we get to Beach City it's dark. I look over the town, everything looks so tiny from up here, the people look like ants
"You see like this all the time?" I ask, looking at Lapis
"Yeah" Lapis answers
"It's so pretty, isn't it!?" I say excited
"Heh, yeah, it is" Lapis agrees.
We get to the Temple and Lapis and I drop Peridot on her face on the sand near the stairs
"Hey!" Peridot says annoyed
"Hahaha, well, the wind has dried me off, I'm going to head inside, you guys wanna come in?" I ask walking to the stairs
"No, we're going to head back to the Barn, thanks for the fly tho" Lapis says, picking Peridot up again
"Ok, bye guys, I'll see you later" I wave them off as i walk up the stairs
As I walk into the Temple, I'm greeted by the Gems keeping Steven company during dinner
"Oh hey (y/n), it was getting late and i didn't know when you'd be back so I decided to start dinner without you, your dinner is in the oven staying warm" Steven says
"Oh, thanks Steven, I'm going to go quickly have a shower and get dressed, water training got a bit.. messy, hehe, I'll be back" I say, rushing to get my PJ's from the closet under the stairs, i grab a towel and run to the bathroom and have a shower
<~~ Time Skip ~~>
I walk out of the bathroom, changed into my PJ's, and rubbing my hair with the towel, trying to dry it
"Hey guys, I'm back from my shower" I say walking over to the kitchen bench
I get my dinner out of the oven and put it in the microwave oven and reheat it
"So, (y/n), how was your water power training? What did you guys work on?" Steven asks, finishing his dinner
"It was great! At first we tried to make water blobs into shapes, but i accidentally splashed Lapis when trying to make a star, and we ended up having an epic water fight, then Lapis did this amazing water thing, she collected all the water from the water fight, that was seeped into the ground, and then put it back in the pool, it was so cool!! And i seriously want to learn that when I'm advanced enough, i need to train a lot to get as powerful as Lapis! She can do so much cool stuff" I explain
"That sounds.. great... So you'll be spending a lot more time training with Lapis and a lot less time with us.... fan..tastic" Garnet says, a bit quieter then normal
"Well yeah, of course I'll be training a lot with Lapis a lot, how else will i get better? Besides it's super fun, Peri is so looney and fun and Lapis is so powerful and cool" I say, eating dinner
"What if we join some of your training sessions? Or maybe you could even train here sometimes, i mean we live right next to the beach so you'll have access to lots of water!" Steven suggests
"That way i can still train heaps but i don't have to miss lots and miss out on hanging out with you guys!" I add
"Exactly!" Steven agrees
I put Steven's and my plate in the sink. I pick up Steven and flying him up to his bed
"Wheeeee!" Steven says
I plop him onto his bed
"Let's get to sleep so we can start a new day, a new amazing day" I say, flying back down to the couch
Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst walk up the stairs and tuck Steven in and say goodnight. They then walk down the stairs, Pearl and Amethyst say goodnight to be as they walk past. Garnet comes up to me, squats down in front of my head, that's laying on the couch
"You know you don't have to sleep here right, you could sleep in Steven's bed, or we could get you a bed, i could even make you one if you want, isn't it uncomfortable?" Garnet explains
"No no, it's ok, I'm fine sleeping here, when i was younger i used to sleep on the couch next to my father in order to feel closer to him, so I'm used to it" I say
"Ok, if you're sure, goodnight my beautiful (y/n)" Garnet says sweetly, kissing me on the forehead before walking away
'Beautiful..? S-she called me beautiful.... wait a second, my? My beautiful..' i think to myself before drifting to sleep
