5: My Donsaeng At Work

I was sleeping soundly. As I heard the sound of alarm, I jumped out of bed. I snoozed it to see that it was 8:30 AM. It's Wednesday, 13th June.

I can not help but smile as noticed the date. It's the day that I will manage a patron event on my own.

The last 5 days went in a daze. I have been completely busy with all the preparation and my classes. I didn't even sleep for more than 3 hours in the mean time.

I talked to the professor and took a day off to prepare the café for the event.

I had so much to do! I had to prepare the stage for the performances, the steel bistro tables, chairs and utensils for the feast. I also had to bring the speakers for the event.

So I got into the washroom and washed up in a hurry and changed into clothes.

I wore a white & blue trek shirt with a black ripped jeans, tied my hair into a high ponytail and wore my indoor glasses.

I then ate a bagel with scrambled egg for breakfast. As I took the final bite of the bagel and packed my side bag, I got a call on my phone.

Seeing the name of the caller makes a calm smile come on my lips.

It was Kim Hongjoong.

He's a noon-shift co-worker at the café and a very close friend of mine. He joined the café 3 months after I joined it. He is the most charming, quiet and hardworking person I have ever met in my life. He is the head waiter. He is also a trainee at an entertainment company. He's very sweet. He helps me with everything. And he is just 20 years old. So, I adore him like a younger brother.

I picked up the call with a sigh and answered,

"Hongjoong-ah! To what do I owe the pleasure to hear your beautiful voice first thing in the morning?"

I did that on purpose. I know that Hongjoong gets flustered whenever I say stuff like that. He has a thing for noonas.😄😄

As I knew, I could hear Hongjoong grasping for words to speak. He somehow said,

"Uuh... Oh! I was supposed to pick you up from your apartment to pick up the speakers for the event, noona! Did you forget?"

I was looking for my tablet as I can imagine Hongjoong blushing right now. I replied,

"No. I didn't. Why are you suddenly asking about that, Hongjoong?"

He then gave a mischievous giggle and answered,

"Because I'm right in front of your apartment now, noona."

I ran to the window and peeked through the curtains to see a black pick-up van standing right in front of my apartment. And I'm front of the door of the driver's seat, is standing an ever smiling Hongjoong with his stunning blonde hair. I ran towards my corridor and said as I hurriedly wore my blue sneakers,

"Okay, I'll be right down!"

I cut the call as I rush down the stairs after wearing my sneakers and taking my side bag.

As I had mentioned in the previous chapter's author's note, Hongjoong is going to play as Taerim's very good friend.

(SPOILER!!) He is going to be the closest any male character can be to Taerim in the 1st 18 (maybe)chapters. (Yup! You heard it right! This is a LONG story) So, please bear with the story!!

And have you seen the latest EATJIN Vlive?  Jin did this (I can't seem to be able to put a finger on it) maybe after 2 years!!! HE LOOKED "WORLD WIDE HANDSOME " AS ALWAYS!! 😍😍😍😘😘😘😇😇😇
