Before I walked into the building, I kept the mason jar of tea leaves in my backpack. As I was about to go in, suddenly I felt a hand poking on my shoulder.

I turned around to see that it was Seokjin.

..........

He was looking as handsome and good looking as ever as he stood there after poking me on my shoulder. I smiled to him and said,

"Seokjin- shi, what are you doing here?"

He didn't react much and had a expressionless look as he replied,

"Come with me. Now."

I was a little confused as I shrugged and asked,

"Where?"

Because he basically didn't behave like that since the drive off to the cliff. So, I was a little confused. He then said in the same stern tone as before,

"It's related to our deal."

Now, I can't say no.

Because I was the one who proposed it and he was the one working on it. I got into the car and he said while he wore his seatbelt,

"Wear your seatbelt. I'll be driving a bit fast."

We were now on the road as he was maybe driving at 80 km/h speed. I kept stealing glances at him as I kept thinking and trying to contemplate what caused him to be like that. I didn't do anything wrong.

In about 25 minutes, we were at a beautiful traditional Korean restaurant. It seemed very high end as three women in Hanbok bowed to and greeted us as soon as we stepped in. They led us to the VIP room. When the door to the room opened, I could not help but gasp in wonder.

It had a majestic wooden balcony overviewing the grand lawn in front of it. The room itself was enough to fit royalty. And inside the room were people who I somehow seemed to recognize.

There was an elderly man in his mid 60s, a beautiful elderly lady in her late 50s, and a young man in his early 40s. I bowed to them to show my respect as Seokjin did so too.

I look at the beautiful lady after bowing. She seems very familiar to me. Almost like special. She stood up from her seat and took me into a warm embrace. She then said,

"Oh, my dear Taerim! It has been so long since I had last seen you. The last time I did see you, was when you were leaving for London from the airport."

The airport? The last time?

No way? Immo?

Mrs. Kim was a very close friend of my mom. After she passed away, Mrs. Kim and Mr. Kim were the only people who gave me, even if a little, but parental love.

Before my dad sent me to London, she begged to my father on my behalf to not send me there. But he didn't listen to her. She stayed with me as he drove me to the airport and then parted ways from me. I still remember crying when the bodyguards took me away from her to the plane.

I can't control the tears rolling down my eyes. I just wanted to stay in her warm embrace. I wanted to say so much, the only thing that came out of my mouth was,

"Immo?"

She nodded her head as she calmed me down. After I was done crying, I looked at Immo and then at Seokjin. I couldn't help but see the uncanny difference in their faces.

Wait a second. Kim Seokjin? Mrs. Kim?

I just asked,

"Immo, are you Seokjin's mom?"

She gave me a soft smile and nodded her head as she replied,

"They both are my sons, Taerim."

As she said that, she also directed her head at the other young man sitting in the seat now beside Seokjin. He said to me,

"My name is Kim Seokjung. Nice to see you again, Taerim."

Why does that name seem familiar to me? Kim Seokjung....

AH!!! I knew both of them since I was little and they used to play with me. When we played house, they would always quarrel over who would be my husband. At the end, they'll play rock-paper-scissors to decide.

Now I looked at everyone and felt shy all of a sudden. How did I forget them so fast? They were one of the only treasured parts of my childhood.

Immo made me sit beside her and gave me a glass of water. I drank it and took a deep breath. then Immo asked,

"Taerim-ah, can you now tell me why did you not want to marry Seokjin?"

I was now a bit hesitant as I looked at Seokjin and Seokjung. She followed my gaze and noticed my discomfort. She immediately looked at them both and said,

"Jin, Jung? Can you please leave the room for the time being and check the place out for a bit?"

Seokjin now seems really upset for being sent off while discussing a matter that could maybe determine his future with me. So he immediately spoke up,

"Eomma! Why do I have to leave?"

Now Mr. Kim was the one to speak,

"Jin, when a lady feels uncomfortable in any way, a gentleman's responsibility is to let her have some space for a while."

Then he didn't object for once. But as he was leaving with Seokjung, he mumbled something under his breath. I could catch that as he said,

"This better be worth it."

Then after the doors of the room closed, Immo placed her right hand on my shoulder and asked,

"So, what is the reason that made you feel uncomfortable around your childhood friends?"

I was now feeling confused as to what should I state as my reason.

What was my reason for me to dump such a catch like Seokjin? He was handsome, good-looking, rich, self-dependent, famous, mild-mannered. What else would a girl want in a guy that fits perfectly in anyone's dream guy's category.

Well, I do have some. I don't want to get married now. I haven't even graduated. I haven't established my business.

I don't want to get married to a guy who I didn't chose for it. He may be a childhood friend, but I haven't seen him for the last 13 years. But, he was basically a stranger to me now.

And then, the biggest reason. The reason that has kept me single for the last 3 years and is also making me push Seokjin away.

Jackson Wang.

As I was lost in my reasons to find a decent one to place on the table, Immo said,

"Taerim, you don't have to be insecure or worried. Whatever the reason is, we won't judge you at all."

As soon as I heard her words, I felt at peace with no delay. And I told them the reasons.

All of them. I didn't leave out one. I told them even the silliest reasons. Also everything about Jackson too. And after that, I just looked at them for a while as they looked at each other and contemplated over the reasons.

My biggest fear was that, even after I told them everything and tried my best, they refuse to take the proposal off the table and I have to forcibly get married to Seokjin.

But then Immo said while looking at me in my eyes,

"Taerim-ah,..."

[A/N: Oops... this is not the chapter I wanted to say what I had in my mind. So... I think you should go ahead to the next chapter.
