24: The Treat For The Team

[A/N: I don't think any other song can fit better in this chapter than the KQ FELLAZ EP. FINAL "FROM" by KQ FELLAZ (Pre-ATEEZ). Because my 2nd bias group, ATEEZ will finally be appearing together as a team. So, ATINYs and ARMYTINYs, Enjoy😄]

The clock behind me said that the time was 7:13, when I saw 7 guys walk into the cafè. I went to see them when some of the faces seemed familiar to me. But someone speedily ran past me to the boys.

And who could it be except my co-employee and dear friend Kim Hongjoong. His friends from his company who made it to the new team came here.

But as I saw that the 5 of Hongjoong's co-trainees were accompanied by 3 more people, I was confused. But the confusion washed off immediately as I saw Wooyoung and Yeosang standing beside Yunho.

But there was one guy that I just couldn't recognise at all. He's not one of the trainees at Hongjoong's or Wooyoung's company.

As I went closer to the boys, Yunho and Mingi came running to me like 2 kindergarden kids who just saw their mom after their first day at school and held me in middle of them both in a sandwich like embrace. Then they both said together,

"Noona! You are the best! Thank you for giving us a treat."

I tickled Mingi in his waist, which led him to break the embrace while laughing hysterically. It also led me, Yunho, Jongho, Hongjoong and all the others laugh out loud as well.

Except Seonghwa. He didn't laugh much and was just talking to Hongjoong about something.

I always feel like my stomach turns into a national level gymnast and keeps taking continuous somersaults whenever I see or even hear Seonghwa's name. I just feel like I'm on cloud nine.

I looked at Wooyoung and Yeosang's faces glowing in happiness and my instincts just told me what the reason  was. I then sarcastically said while heading behind them with a wide grin,

"Looks like someone just got into the new team in one go!"

As I said that, I stood between them and patted both of them in the back, which led them to give me a little bow out of appreciation. Then Wooyoung said,

"Thanks to the enthusiastic speech you gave us to not give up on our endeavours when Hongjoong hyung brought us to the cafè after the elimination."

I just smiled and said,

"Well, I liked you both ever since the competition began. So, I felt like I needed to help you out at least once."

I then looked beside me to see Junyoung standing as timidly as he always did. I then said, as I placed my hand on his shoulder,

"Junyoung, you should start opening up from now on. You are about to debut soon. So, start socializing."

He nodded as he replied,

"Definitely, noona. Thanks for the advice." 

I gave him a wholehearted smile as I replied,

"Don't mention it."

Then I looked behind me to see the unknown person up close.

He was wearing a tailor fit suit made especially for office interviews and had a school bag on his back. He looked similar aged to Yunho and Mingi. So, I felt suspicious.

I told all of them to sit down, including the new guy and then poked Hongjoong on his shoulder and asked,

"Can I steal you for a while?"
