I'm fourteen. I'm following a hallway down to the last door and I open it without thinking. No one is around so I sneak into the room and see him.

A blonde boy staring at the ceiling.
He notices me and curls up into a ball as if he's hiding.

"I'm not going to harm you." I spoke.

He shook his head. "You are one of them!"

"My name is Audrey Harrison." I say slowly walking up to him. "I'm not one of them."

"Get away from me!" He screamed.

"I'm like you." I quickly spoke.

"No you aren't!" He almost cried. "They aren't torturing you. I see the special treatment you get!

"Please here me out." I beg.

He stares at me.

"You are next." I said.

"No! No! No!" He cried and screamed.

My fourteen year old self grabbed onto him and held him while he sobbed.

"Newt." I whispered. "You aren't immune like everyone else, this will be good for you."

He looked at me with hope in his eyes. "Audrey." He blinked a few times. "We went to school together. Before they took us away."

"WICKED is good Newt." I tell him. "They need us, you."

His heart slowed and every inch of me fought with myself. This boy was different, he believed me right away. Unlike everyone else who I had to reason with. He believed me.

The boy looked at me again, his eyes told me that he felt safe with me. I gave him a squeeze on his hand and I walked out.

I closed the door behind me and walked to the lady dressed in white. She smiled warmly at me.

"Well done Audrey." She nodded. "You are poisoning the minds of them so they know that WICKED is good and that gives them hope."
