I run far out of the Glade, I run out into the forest and I scream. I know people will hear me and I know people will start looking for me.
I'm lost.
Every bit of me is fighting myself.
No I won't! I won't! I won't be controlled!
Let Gally kill Newt Audrey, you don't need him Audrey. Teresa tells me.
"Get out of my head!" I scream and cry. "What's going on?"
Audrey. Thomas whispers. They are trying to manipulate you, whatever Teresa says is a lie, they are in her head too.
"Why are you doing this to me?" I scream begging to remember all the dreams I had.
Nothing.
Silence.
Gally is going to kill me. Gally is going to kill Newt. I screamed bloody murder and now we are both dead. I pace myself, I think and think.
The changing. It can help me.
Griever serum cause the changing. I look at the moon slowly rising and I sprint to the maze doors. I can hear leaves crunching around me, chasing me.
I run into the maze, losing myself as I sprint as fast as I can. I hear the maze doors start to close but my vision is dedicated to the grievers. I need them.
"Audrey!" This boy screams bloody murder like I did.
"No let me go!" I cry.
"Audrey!" More shouts.
Someone grabs my arm and I scream getting the grievers attention.
Several hands haul me back into the maze as I try to escape the grasp of all of my friends' arms. I'm dropped into the ground and I sob, like the coward I am.
"Why didn't you let me get stung?" I scream at them.
"Audrey." Newt whispers.
"I wanted to remember you slintheads! I wanted to remember why I'm stuck here! Why I can hear voices in my head, why I have dreams about Newt! I want to remember who I was!" I spasm into sobs.
Minho, Alby, Ben and Newt stare down at me. Not knowing what to do, Newt reaches for my limp body and hugs it. He strokes my head and whispers soothing things but I can't stop crying.
"Death sounds better then not remembering." I whisper.
"Audrey you don't mean that." Newt sounds hurt.
But you do Audrey, they are going to find a way to take you back to WICKED, keep hold of your sanity until the deed is done.
