After I had trained with Pirot for the night, she went to bed, exhausted from her duties.
I might have been tired as well, but I found myself, for the third night in a row, unable to sleep.
Eventually, I crept down from my bed, careful not to wake Pirot, and redressed in my uniform.
I made my way out of our room and down the hallway, downstairs to my little office and my desk where I had left the book I had borrowed from Von Steubon.
I began reading once more.
At some point, I do not know when, the words in the book relaxed me enough to allow me to give in to my exhaustion and fall asleep, head down on the book, glasses askew.
