Apparently he is now a permanent fixture at the prison until we receive orders. Once Freidrich returns, however, he will be lowered to an ordinary soldier once more.
I knew, because I read his mail again.
Freidrich would return; it said so in the letter from the German commander in Berlin. If he said it, it must be so, correct?
