It was already late afternoon, Shadow had found a spot with wide views of the Moebius Sea. The hedgehog was thinking about his next actions. The breeze and the sound of the sea calmed him down a little. Although his mind was still confused, he had already decided for himself that he would take Rouge back with him. He wouldn't back down now. The hedgehog decided to wait for the sun to go down to return to the Hospital Tower, but Omega called him back, saying it was an emergency.

The hedgehog ran back, at super speed. When he arrived he found the frightened refugees and the two Omegas dead. Dr. Ovi Kintobor informed him that someone had invaded and stolen some of his inventions, and on the way met the two Omegas. They tried to capture the invader, but he shot them with a weapon, which I do not know, which left them like this. However, E-123 Omega was still able to communicate.

"I can help with that." A voice spoke that was familiar to them.

Shadow turned and then saw Scourge. Without saying anything, Shadow advanced on the green hedgehog. However, a white light came from Scourge, which expanded and then went out, when dr. Ovi and Buns looked again, the two hedgehogs were gone.

Shadow and Scourge were in an open field, surrounded by forest and a large rock. Shadow for a moment was distracted by suddenly being in an unknown location.

Scourge fiddled with the device on his wrist. He then smiled at Shadow. "See you later." When saying this the green hedgehog disappeared in a white light again.

Shadow looked around and noticed that some equipment was thrown. The black hedgehog wondered if it was the equipment stolen from dr. Ovi.

"Anyway, you're here."

A familiar voice was heard. Shadow turned to face Rouge who was already waiting for him to get there. She was sitting in front of a small table, with two glasses on top.

"Please sit down. Drink with me."

The hedgehog did not answer.

"It has no poison. Look." The bat then drank a little from the two glasses.

Shadow approached the table. "Why this now?"

"You wanted to know my reasons, didn't you? Well ... you deserve to know."

Shadow pulled out the other chair, and sat across the table, facing Rouge.

The hedgehog rolled his eyes to the side. "Sorry, if I had..."

"Please. No. I didn't call you to talk about it. There is no use regretting what has already happened."

Shadow was crestfallen. Rouge took another sip from his glass.

"How long has it been? 10 years? It should be."

Shadow raised his head and looked at Rouge.

"It was me, my father and ... my mother."
