Two Worlds: a epic of Shadow and Rouge

Chapter 15

Back in the present, Buns recounted his encounter with Rouge and the version of Moebius' black hedgehog. Shadow was incredulous that Rouge was involved in the destruction he saw when he arrived. How she had fought against Buns, who tried to save people's homes and helped them escape the mysterious robots and the fire they started.

What most concerned dr. Ovi Kintobor was the one who built these robots. Shadow would have as his only suspect a version of Eggman, but like dr. Ovi was that person, he had no one else in mind.

Shadow then asked to be allowed to pass through the force field, as he needs to clear his thoughts. The doctor consented. Before leaving the hedgehog told his robot companion that he would come back and then he left the Great Forest running at super speed. But nearby, hidden, were Scourge and Tynna, who saw the black hedgehog leave the Great Forest.

"You were right, Tynna. This is not Umbra."

"So what are we going to do now? From what you told me, it can be a problem for us."

"I already had a plan in case that happened. I will go talk to her."

"Great. Enjoy and tell her to control those robots of hers. They really could have killed us, like Rouge said."

"This Rouge... she needs to learn to take her place. And you get the equipment I told you about. Now that Shadow is here, we need them as soon as possible." The hedgehog then ran, disappearing in a green blur.

Tynna pulled on her sleeve and there was a device on her wrist. She pushed some buttons on that device. A series of pixels appeared around him, changing color constantly, then began to disappear one after another. When everyone was gone, Tynna had changed. She was one of the children who had spoken to Buns when she arrived at the Hospital Tower with Shadow and Omega. Tynna then left the cliffs, where she and Scourge were hiding, and headed for the Great Forest.

Meanwhile, at the cabin, Rouge behaved just as he had when he arrived. Umbra and Rubis noticed this and were concerned, especially Rubies. The words she heard from Scourge made her suspicious of the green hedgehog again.

Rouge took off his glove. On his wrist was Shadow's inhibiting ring. The bat kept its index finger around the ring.

Scourge and Tynna had left. Rubies taking advantage of this, asked Umbra to leave too, so that she could speak alone with Rouge. The hedgehog consented and left. Rubis then sat down next to Rouge, who was on the couch. Rouge put his glove back on.

"Rubies, I don't..."

"I listened."

Rouge raised his ears and looked at the other bat. "Did you hear what?"

"What Scourge said." She looked into Rouge's eyes. "Is he blackmailing you?"

Rouge looked at the floor and was quiet. But then he got up from the couch. And without looking at the other bat, he spoke. "This is my business. You don't have to get involved. I made a deal with him, that's all."

"Rouge. Please..."

"I already spoke Rubis." Rouge shouted and went to the door. But when he opened it, he came face to face with Scourge.

The green hedgehog smiled at her. "He came after you."
