Hikari
I took some onigiri out of the fridge, microwaved it, and ate a few pieces while talking to Aku. Then I told him goodnight and went to my room.
"Hikari?" he asked, stopping in front of my room.
"Yeah?" I asked, looking up at him. I was sitting on my bed, getting ready to go to sleep.
"You... didn't use mom's Shields, did you."
He didn't ask it like a question, he asked it like he already knew the answer.
I looked down. "What do you think?"
He stepped into my room and came over to me. He sat down next to me and wrapped his right arm around me.
"I think you need to stop being so afraid of mom," he said softly.
I leaned my head against his shoulder. "Easy for you to say," I said. "You were born with just her quirk."
He sighed. "Sometimes I just want to tell you..." He paused, then he said, "Never mind. It's getting late, you should probably go to bed."
He kissed my forehead, muttered goodnight, and left my room. I went to sleep that night wondering what he wanted to tell me. When I woke up, my alarm was blaring in my ear. I groaned, murmured a swear, and turned it off.
I sat up, got out of bed, walked to the bathroom, and looked at myself in the mirror. A few strands of my brown hair fell in front of my face, and I stared into my bright green eyes.
That villain was right. If you knew my mother, it was easy to look at me and realize I looked almost exactly like her.
I took a quick shower, then got dressed and glanced at the time. I was assuming that was like, the 20th time my alarm had gone off, because now I was going to be late if I didn't hurry.
I grabbed my crutches, shouted goodbye, and burst out the front door with my things. I was surprised as I walked to school to see Recovery Girl walking towards the school, also. I quickly hobbled over to her and bowed down a little.
"Um, hello, I'm Hikari Kazenikura, I'm a student at U.A, and I recently hurt my leg and I was wondering..."
She laughed, and I stopped. Then she kissed my forehead and said, "That was quite a long explanation you were about to go into, Ms. Kazenikura. I fixed your leg, just be careful not to put too much pressure on it right now."
"Thank you," I said as we arrived at the school. She smiled sweetly and took my crutches.
"You're welcome, my dear. Now hurry along; your class is starting soon."
I nodded, said thank you again, and ran to my class. When I arrived, I was the last person there, and everyone was staring at me. I blushed, went to my seat, and sat down.
