Hikari
I was very disoriented when I woke up. The whole room was spinning, and I couldn't see straight. I sat there for a moment until the room stopped spinning, then I looked around. I was in a hospital room, I could see that much.
"Hikari?" a voice whispered. I painfully turned my head and saw Aku standing next to me.
"Aku-san?" I said quietly. My entire body hurt and it felt like cotton was stuffed into my head.
He breathed out in relief. "Good, you're actually awake this time. How do you feel?"
I winced as I tried to shift my position. "Horrible," I whispered with a faint smile.
He took my hand and closed his eyes, shaking his head. "I'm going to kill that Todoroki."
I shook my head. "Please don't. He's... my friend."
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and Aku said, "Come in."
The door opened and people flooded in: Ochaco, Midoriya, Iida, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, even Bakugo.
I blinked a few times and tried to smile. "Hi."
Ochaco rushed over to me. "Oh my gosh, you're alive! Thank goodness, I was so worried."
"My apologizes, I didn't mean..." I stopped and my eyebrows furrowed. "Wait, what do you mean?"
"When you passed out, you stopped breathing," Kirishima said. "You had us all freaked out."
I frowned. "I stopped... breathing?"
Aku nodded. "And Whiteout didn't even care. He's a stupid, heartless monster, Hikari. All he cares about is if you win."
"Oh, sorry, we didn't mean to disturb you two," Iida said, and Aku just shook his head.
"Nah, it's fine. You guys are Hikari's friends, right?"
They all slowly nodded, as if it was a trick question.
He smiled. "Well, it's good to meet you all. I'm her brother."
Ochaco's mouth fell open. "Wait, you're Dark Cold?" she exclaimed.
Aku shrugged, but only his right shoulder moved. "Eh, I was Dark Cold. You guys can just call me Aku."
They all stared at him in awe.
He blushed and looked down. "Okay, enough staring, please."
If I had one thing in common with my brother, it's that we both hated attention.
"Wait, didn't a villain kill you?" Midoriya asked.
Aku frowned. "No. If a villain had killed me I wouldn't be here, now would I?"
"A villain got to Aku-san," I said. "He got stabbed and the left side of his body from the neck down was paralyzed."
Aku scratched the back of his neck with his right hand. "I still am paralyzed, and that little idiot that paralyzed me is still out there."
"Who was it?" Midoriya asked.
"Someone called the Hero Killer Stain," Aku said. "Came up behind me and before I could put up a shield, he had stabbed me right in my ribs, hitting a nerve and paralyzing the left half of my body. If it weren't for 13, I would've been a goner."
Suddenly his phone rang and he dug it out of his pocket. Everyone was silent. He answered it and held the phone to his ear.
After a moment he growled, "No, I'm staying here with Hikari, you little brat, since you don't even care about her."
