"We need to keep going," I said, glancing around at everyone.

Todoroki nodded. "Yes, we need to find Bakugo, and fast. Let's go."

Momo pulled out her receiver and we followed her into an alleyway. She held up her receiver and said, "The tracking signal is coming from inside that building."

"Not a bad hideout, I guess," Kirishima said.

"We don't know what's in there," Momo said, turning back to us. "The receiver says that one villain hasn't left the hideout in a day, but that's all we know. There could be one villain here and Bakugo could be somewhere else."

"I don't like this," Iida said. "None of us are good at sneaking around. We need Hagakure, or Jiro. If I sense that we'll have to fight, we're leaving. I won't hesitate to call the police, either, to make sure my friends are safe."

"Thank you, Iida," Midoriya said quietly. "But for now, we have to work with what we have."

We walked over to the vending machine to get a closer look without looking suspicious.

"I don't see any movement inside," Momo said.

"Yeah, the place looks empty," Kirishima said.

"They've hidden their compound in plain sight, remember?" Todoroki said.

"Hey, you girls lookin for real men?" a voice said. "Ditch these losers and come drink with us!"

I turned and saw two drunk men grinning at me and Momo. Iida went and stood in front of us.

"Oh, gosh, no, we're fine!" I exclaimed, my face hot as I waved my hands in front of me. "These guys are perfect! Honest!"

"C'mon, man, don't go picking fights," the other dude said to him.

Todoroki started walking away. "Let's get out of here," he said.

We followed him over to a nearby building and Momo said, "That was a close call. We don't know if the villains are watching, so we can't draw attention to ourselves."

Midoriya glanced over at the building. "We can go around back. That may be the only chance we have to get some solid info."

We started going through the small crack between the two buildings. I was in between Momo and Kirishima as we slowly walked farther.

"This is so narrow, I might get stuck," Momo said.

"Just keep moving," Midoriya said, then he stopped, making us all stop. "Look, a window! We should be able to look through it and see what's going on inside."

"Yeah, but we'll be blind in the darkness," Todoroki said.

"Hold on, I'll make a night vision scope real fast," Momo said.

"Wait," Kirishima said, then he pulled out a night vision scope. "There's no need. I actually brought one with me."

"That's cool!" Midoriya said. "But aren't those things really expensive? Like, fifty thousand or something?"

"Whatever, man, just drop it," Kirishima said.

"Then it's settled," Todoroki said. "Kirishima will be our scout. Move up, Midoriya."

He moved up, and with much difficulty, Kirishima stood up on Iida's shoulders and held the scope to his eye. Midoriya stood up on Todoroki's shoulders so that him and Kirishima could take turns looking into the hideout.

"The place is totally trashed," Kirishima said, then he gasped and almost fell over.

"Kirishima, are you okay?" I asked worriedly.
