Hikari
I asked Midoriya about his match with Todoroki, and he said that Todoroki had won, which meant I would be fighting him.
I was a bit afraid to fight him. If he had decided to start using his fire, that would be bad. But his ice was what I was worried about. I could melt it with one shot, but he could block my attacks with it when I try to aim for him.
The next two rounds were short and simple. Tokoyami won against Ashido and Bakugo won against Kirishima. (I think we were all silently rooting for Kirishima to win in the end, but oh well.)
Then, it was my turn again. I was walking down the hallway when a voice said, "Hikari."
I turned around and saw Aku coming towards me.
"What do you want, Aku-san?" I asked.
"I want you to be careful," he said. "This boy is Endeavor's son, and he's powerful, even without his fire."
Then he smiled. "But you're powerful, too. Go out there and kick his a** for me, will you?"
I nodded. "Sure thing, Aku-san. I'll kick his a** so bad that he won't have one."
He laughed, then his face turned serious. "And no matter what, don't listen to dad, OK? I saw what he did to you in the last round. Don't let him get to your head."
I took a deep breath and shook out my hands. "Okay, got it. I'll see you in a few minutes, Aku-san."
"Love you, and be careful!" he shouted as I walked out to the arena.
This time, I was confident I was going to win. And I didn't need my father shouting at me to do so.
"BEGIN!" Midnight shouted, and Todoroki started us off with a huge column of ice that surrounded me and rose out of the stadium.
It was the same thing he had done with Sero, but this time, I had fire on my hands.
"Kazenikura is bound with ice!" Midnight shouted. "Tell us the truth, can you move?"
I closed my eyes and bowed my head, regulating my temperatures and spreading the fire throughout my body. Even on my medium temperature, it took about five seconds to melt myself out of his ice.
"Wow! Kazenikura easily melts the ice that surrounds her body!" Present Mic shouted. "This might be a long battle, folks."
I opened my eyes and quickly dodged as a slab of ice came hurling towards me on the ground. I had been watching the way Todoroki used his quirk, and it seemed that he had to be touching something, like the ground or a person, to be able to use it. But, I wasn't an aerial fighter, so that was one disadvantage.
My only hope would be to get close and stay on his left side, but he seemed to know that his left side was his weakness, so he was constantly guarding it.
I cursed under my breath and fired a wide shot at another round of approaching ice. It melted instantly, and I dodged the next round.
I could try to tire him out, but that seemed to be exactly what he was trying to do with me.
Come on, Hikari, find a weakness.
As much as I hated my father, he taught me a lot about fighting. I let my body go into a defensive overdrive as I thought over everything I knew about Todoroki.
He hates his father. He only uses his ice quirk in battle and he rejects his fire. But Midoriya had some strange affect on him that made him use it. His mother poured boiling water on his face when he was young. He has a limit as to how much ice he can use, and frost builds up on his right side when he uses his quirk a lot at once...
