Shane continued to yell at Rick.
"Why do your people have guns?" Hershel called out, when he saw all of us carrying guns.
Daryl raised his gun.
"You see this?!"Shane yelled.
Shane shot the walker in the chest.
"That's it's heart! A person couldn't take that!" Shane yelled, trying to prove his point.
Hershel held onto the walker in shock.
"Shane! That's enough!" Rick yelled.
"Yeah, it is enough." Shane yelled back as he shot the walker in the head, killing it. "Enough of living beside things trying to kill us!" Shane yelled as he walked towards the barn.
Everyone stood there, watching Shane in shock. Lori grabbed Carl and pulled him in.
"Shane stop it!" Lori yelled, but Shane ignored her. He started hitting the lock on the barn until it fell off, and walkers walked out. Shane held up his gun and starting shooting. Eventually, T - dogg joined.
"We gonna shoot?" I asked Daryl in a loud voice.
He nodded and shot one. Andrea joined in.
I starting shooting too, but noticed that I was shooting walkers that used to be loved ones.
Maggie told me that her step mom, step brother, neighbours and other people she knew were in there.
Maggie cried as she hugged her dad, and Beth cried and she hugged her boyfriend.
I continued shooting, and soon everyone else joined in.
The walkers stopped coming out and we all sat and stared in silence. Daryl looked at me and just nodded, and then looked around at everyone else.
We all stood in silence.
A walker growled in the distance, there must've been one more in the barn. Everyone lifted their guns again until we saw the walker make its way out of the barn. The light hit the walker and everyone lowered their guns. It was Sophia.
"Sophia..." Carol sobbed and she ran towards her walker daughter. I grabbed Carol so she didn't run any closer. I held her in my arms as she cried Sophias name.
Everyone stood there, looking at Sophia who was growling and hungry for us.
"No.. Sophia." Carol sobbed into my arms.
I held her tight. I saw Carl fall into Loris arms and cry. I held my tears back as we all realized we were chasing nothing.
I looked up at Daryl and his eyes were blank.
He looked devastated and defeated. "Don't watch." I heard Lori whisper to Carl.
Rick walked forward and raised his gun.
"Sophia!" Carol called out, still sobbing. Rick hesitated but he pulled the trigger. Sophias walker body fell to the ground and Carol cried even harder.
I looked at Daryl again, and his eyes were filled with tears. He wiped his eyes and stared into the ground.
"Don't look." I whispered to Carol. She got up and walked away, still crying. I stood up and stared at the pile of walkers.
"I'm sorry." I whispered to Daryl and I grabbed his hand. I knew how hard he tried for this. He did everything for this.
Daryl held my hand back without saying a word. Beth cried as she looked at her moms walker body.
Beth walked over to the body and flipped it over, moving other bodies off.
Beth screamed and we all looked over, realizing she was still alive. Beths mom grabbed onto her and tried to bite her. Beth screamed and we all ran over.
Everyone pulled Beth and Beth continued screaming.
T-dogg stepped on the walkers head but it didn't kill it. I turned around and got a shovel and hit it through the walkers head, killing it. Beth cried and they brought her inside.
Shane yelled at Hershel, accusing them that they knew Sophia was in there.
I stood over the walkers bodies, almost zoned out.
Daryl sat by the fire alone and I knew I should've talked to him, but I needed to take some time too.
I left the bodies there, and I left the farm without anyone noticing. I went out into the woods and cake across a bed of flowers. I sat down in the middle of it, a curled into a ball.
I didn't like people seeing me cry. Tears fell and I cried quietly while I held my legs.
I sat there for a while, crying until I decided I should check on Daryl. I wiped my tears and made my way back to the farm.
When I got back Daryl still sat alone by the fire. Everyone else was either inside, or far away, near the fence.
I went and sat beside him, not saying anything at first.
Daryl stared into the fire, his eyes full of tears.
Daryl was emotional, but like me, didn't like to show it. Daryl looked at me and sat up straight. "You okay?" He asked. I nodded quickly. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I said. "You've been crying." Daryl said, staring back into the fire.
I didn't answer.
"And don't be sorry." He said.
"I know how you are though Daryl." I said in a whisper like voice. He didn't answer this time.
"You feel like it's your fault. And it's not. It's completely not you did everything." I said, almost breaking into tears again.
Daryl closed his eyes and a tear fell. He wiped it away as quickly as he could. "I thought I would find her." Daryl whispered, his voice breaking.
I reached around him and hugged him and he hugged me back.
I pulled away from the hug.
"Don't feel like you could've done anymore than you did. You did everything." I said.
"It wasn't enough." Daryl said staring at his hands.
"It enough baby." I whispered.
At first I didn't even realize I had called him baby.
Daryl stopped moving at looked at me and smiled.

The sun set. I knew Hershel wanted us off his property, but Rick was trying to tell everyone it was going to be okay.
I layed and in the tent with Daryl. He was really quiet, and I understood why. Everyone was extra quiet. Daryl stared at the tent ceiling and I could tell he was overthinking things.
"You think we'll find Carley or Merle?" Daryl whispered.
I paused for a second.
"I think they're alive. I don't know about finding them though." I whispered back.
I wasn't all sure if I wanted to find Carley. I did want to find Merle though.
"Did you eat today?" Daryl asked me.
"I had a sandwich." I answered. Daryl huffed. "When we're on the road, you're gonna wish you ate when you had the chance." Daryl whispered.
I knew he was right, but I was almost used to being on the road.
I just hoped Rick figured this thing out with Hershel.
