I woke up in the morning and Michonne was walking around the room.
"You're up." She smiled.
We went down to the hospital to check on Andrea. She seemed completely fine.
"She can leave now." The doctor said. Andrea got out of the bed and looked normal again. "Come on." Michonne whispered as we brought Andrea up to our room.
When we got there, Andrea seemed to be in shock.
"This place is amazing!" Andrea said.
"I wouldn't say amazing. We're leaving." Michonne said, packing up our stuff.
"What? You want to be on the road again?" Andrea asked.
Michonne sighed. "This place isn't safe." Michonne said is a stern voice. "And you agree?" Andrea said, looking at me. I did agree. Being on the road was my thing, and it was Michonnes thing. It definitely wasn't Andreas thing.
"The road is my thing and Im unsure about the people here. You guys want to stay, be my guest. I'm leaving." I said.
I packed up my bag and swung my backpack over my shoulders.
"I'm leaving now." I said.
"Just stay one more night." Andrea begged.
I ignored her. "Guys, I'm leaving to find Daryl. So I can tell him Merle is here." I said looking at them.
"And I'm going to help you find him." Michonne said.
"And if you don't find him?" Andrea asked.
"Then at least I know where Merle is. I have to try." I said.
Andrea kept begging us to stay another night.
"I'll stay one more night, then I'll catch up with y/n." Michonne said.
"Fine. And if you don't find y/n?" Andrea asked Michonne.
"Then you guys don't find me. I'll be okay, and I will eventually find you guys as long as you stay alive." I whispered.
"I'm going now. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I said.
I hugged Michonne and Andrea and I walked down to the gates.
"Leaving already?" The governor asked. I nodded.
Merle came up behind me.
"You're leaving me?" He said, somewhat laughing.
"I'm going to find Daryl and bring me back here." I said, holding onto my backpack.
Merle nodded. "If I know my little brother he's far away. Slim chance you'll find em." Merle said. He was right, but I was still going to try.
"I'm going to try." I said. Merle nodded again.
"Okay. Open the gates." The governor said.
The gates opened and I stared out at the dead walkers. Nice.
I left , leaving Michonne and Andrea behind which was hard. I was with them for 8 months.
I pulled my knife out and they closed the gates behind me. I had a feeling they were going to shoot me. I kept walking, killing a few walkers.
I walked down the road and looked behind myself every once in a while making sure no one was following me.
I walked down to the gas station I had stayed at 8 months ago when we first got lost. I started loosing hope when night fell and I was forced to sleep in the gas station and wake up on the cold floor once again.
"Oh god." I whispered to myself as I forced myself not to shed any tears.
Daryl had to be alive, and even though I was loosing hope like I had lost hope back when Sophia was missing, I still continued to look for him like Daryl continued to look for Sophia.
As I left the gas station, I thought about what they would want to do. They would want to find a safe place to settle down.
I continued walking along the road and made sure to look at every building.
"Daryl? Glenn? Carl!?" I called as I walked along the roads, slowly loosing hope.
"Rick! Someone!" I called again. Saying their names felt weird.
It had to have been around 4pm and all I did was walk around in circles.
"I'm a tracker." I whispered to myself. Definitely not as good as Daryl, but I was a tracker.
I pulled the map out of my backpack that I tried to use when we first got lost. I layed it on the back of an abandoned car and pointed to where Hershels farm was. Maybe I could see some tracks, even though it had been a whole winter and more.
Hershels farm was maybe a days walk from where I am now.
"Okay." I whispered to myself again as I stuffed the map back in my backpack and prepared to go to the farm.

At the farm
I finally felt like I was getting closer. I had seen this ground before, possibly when looking for Sophia.
"Someone?" I called out, but a little quieter.
I pushed my way through the trees and saw the farm. The barn was gone, just a pile of burnt wood by now.
The farm looked old and now abandoned, and there were still a few walkers around, and a lot of dead bodies. There also definitely looked like there was a commotion.
I headed towards the farm and killed the walkers that got in my way. I entered the house. "Anyone?" I called out. No answer.
I killed a few more walkers inside the house and raided through the kitchen. There was plenty of food left, and I stored as much as I could in my backpack, I mean, who knew how long my journey was.
I walked around, taking what was valuable. I saw nothing that would lead to where they had went.
They took all the cars too.
I walked back out on the road and saw some car tracks, practically imprinted into the dirt.
It was hard to tell if it was theirs, but I followed it anyway, hoping it would work.
Eventually the tracks stopped as we reached cement and not dirt or mud. "Shit." I whispered.
I continued following the road until I reached the highway, where we lost Sophia.
The sign we left for her was unreadable now.
I continued following the road and eventually it went back to dirt roads, and there were more car imprints.
I followed them and then realized there was no hope. These cars could be anyone's cars, even from before.
I put my hand over my mouth to stop from crying. I couldn't cry, not now.
I continued following the dirt road, even though I had lost all hope.
I should turn around, I thought. At least I would be with Merle and Michonne and Andrea.
As I went to turn around I saw something on the side of the road. It was a dead walker, that looked like it had been a dead walker for awhile.
I walked over to it as I noticed there was an arrow in its head. One of Daryls arrows. I pulled the arrow out and shoved it in my bag. I was on the right track.
They had been here, even if it was months ago.
I continued back up the dirt road.
I walked for about 2 more hours and I kept finding more signs that they had been there, whether it was Daryls arrows, empty pudding containers from Carl, baby supplies for Lori or just footprints, I knew I was close.
Night fell again and I went into this house. The walkers were already dead. They had to have been here too. I layed in one of the clean beds upstairs and blocked the door off just in case.
I slept well. I had more hope know, and I was missing them all so much, especially Daryl.
I wanted more than anything to see him and the thought that I was getting close felt great.
I couldn't wait to find them.
