I woke up in the morning and stepped out of the tent to see if they had returned overnight. They still weren't back, and I didn't see Daryl anywhere either.
I sat in the tree by myself and drew in my journal.
I just scribbled all over the page and wrote words like "why" and "fuck you" all over it. Seemed to sum up how I was feeling.
I heard Maggie talking about Beth.
"She's trying to kill her self Andrea." Maggie said, sounding almost in tears.
I tried not to eavesdrop.
As I was about to leave the tree to look for Daryl, a car approached the farm and I realized it was them.
Everyone ran outside and Rick stepped out of the car. Carl ran up and hugged him, and Lori hugged him too.
Hershel got out of the car and Maggie hugged him and then Glenn.
"Who's that?" T dogg asked, pointing at a blind folded body in the backseat.
"Some kid. He was hurt." Rick answered.
We carried him inside and Hershel treated him.
"This is stupid." Shane said. "He was blindfolded the whole way. He doesn't know where we are." Rick said. "And if his group comes looking?" Shane asked.
"They left him there to die." Glenn said, stepping in.
"No ones gonna come looking." Rick said again.
Shane left the house in frustration.
"So what're we gonna do with him?" I asked.
"We're gonna fix him up and send him on his way." Rick said.
I didn't agree with them. We should've just killed him, I thought. I didn't say anything.

I sat in the tree, still no sight of Daryl. Rick and Shane drove the prisoner somewhere to drop him off so everyone would stop worrying.
After a few minutes of my mind just thinking and being empty, I snapped back into it when I saw Lori run outside.
"Andrea, wheres Maggie? Send her inside, Beth took my knife. I got it back but I need Maggie." Lori said, panting.
"I'll send her to you when I see her." Andrea answered. Lori nodded and ran back inside to Beth.
Maggie walked up and Andrea sent her in. A few minutes later I heard Beth and Maggie arguing through their window.
"Can you keep watch for a bit?" Andrea asked me as she went to go inside.
"Yeah." I answered.
Maggie came outside, her hands on her head.
"You okay?" I called down.
Maggie looked up and just nodded.
"Andreas watching Beth right now. Can't leave her alone." Maggie said. I nodded.
Suicide is stupid. I know because I've tried.
Minutes later I heard banging and screaming coming from inside the house. I ran in and saw Maggie holding Beths wrist that was covered in blood. She tried to slit her wrists.
I just followed them in shock as they brought Beth to Hershel. They were all crying and Hershel stitched her up.
"I thought Andrea was watching her?" I asked Maggie.
"She was supposed to be." Maggie said as she went outside and starting yelling at Andrea.
I just went back and sat in that stupid tree still trying to look for Daryl. He still didn't show up.
The next day:
I woke up and Daryl still wasn't here. I wasn't worried about him, just confused.
Rick and Shane brought the prisoner, Randall back and said it was the same as killing him, leaving him out there. They tied him up in the barn.
Everyone talked by the fire about what to do with Randall, and I couldn't give a shit.
"It's settled. We'll kill him." Rick said.
"No. We don't slaughter people. Think about this." Dale said , trying to convince Rick.
"No it's decided, and no one goes near him." Rick said, eyeing Carl.
I rolled my eyes and got down from the tree, leaving the farm.
"Where are you going?" Carol asked me as I walked away.
I didn't answer. "You're just like Daryl." She said again. I turned around and looked at her, but kept walking until I got the the flowers.
I sat in the middle of all the flowers and looked at each one.
I sat in the flowers, sharping my knife on a stump of wood when I saw Carl walk by.
"Does your mom know you're out here?" I asked him.
Carl turned around quickly , scared. "Oh. Hi y/n." Carl said. I noticed Carl was holding a gun.
"You got a gun?" I asked. Carl shrugged. "Don't tell my mom I have it. And they don't know." Carl said.
I knew I shouldn't leave him to be by himself.
"You can shoot right?" I asked.
Carl nodded. "I won't say anything." I said.
"Why do you come out here? I always see you." Carl asked. I shrugged my shoulders.
"It's quiet I guess." I said. Carl nodded and walked away. I was about to ask why he was out but didn't want to call him back.

The sun started to set and I headed back to the farm.
"Y/n, everyone wants to talk about Randall inside." Lori asked.
I went inside even though I didn't care what they did to Randall.
Everyone stood in the living room, and I looked around. Daryl still wasn't there. "Where's Daryl?" Rick asked me.
I shrugged my shoulders and everyone looked worried. "He's fine." I said reassuring everyone.
No one spoke. "I say we kill em." Shane said, breaking the silence. Everyone seemed to agree that killing Randall would work, except for Dale.
Everyone argued and my ears rung, blocking out all the voices. I stared to the ground, my mind blank.
I saw Dale walk away in the corner of my eye, but I still didn't snap back into reality.
"Cmon." I heard Rick say to me as they left the house.
"Y/n?" Rick said again. I finally snapped back into it and followed Rick to the barn with Shane.
We opens the barn door and Shane pulled the blindfold off Randall.
Rick handed me the gun, raising his eyebrows, asking if I wanted to do it. I nodded.
I put the gun against his head as Shane held him up.
Randall sobbed. My ears rang again, blurring it out.
I went to pull the trigger.
"Do it y/n." I heard Carl's voice say. I turned and saw Carl standing there, waiting for me to pull it.
I lifted the gun away, and Shane went outside.
"What did I say?" Shane said to Carl, angrily.
"Don't." Rick said, changing his mind after Carl wanted to watch.
We tied him back up and headed back to our tents.
"We're keeping him in custody for now." Rick said to everyone.
Everyone stayed silent.
All of a sudden, screaming rang everywhere. "What's that?" Lori asked. Everyone ran outside.
"Where's Dale?!" Andrea yelled.
I ran outside the fence with my gun and saw a walker on top of Dale, ripping his stomach open. Tears filled my eyes and everyone came up behind me.
I grabbed the walker off of him and Andrea stabbed it in the head.
"We need Hershel!" Rick screamed in tears.
"Rick." Lori said , trying to tell Rick it wasn't going to save him. Everyone gathered around Dale as he choked for air.
"I'm sorry." I said as I put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. Andrea cried and Lori held her. Tears fell down my cheeks and I wiped them away.
I saw someone run out from the woods, and realized it was Daryl coming from the gunshot.
I was mad at Daryl. Mad that he left.
Carl cried too and Daryl stared at me when he saw I shot Dale.
"Y/n." Daryl said, walking forwards. I turned around and headed back to the farm, away from everyone, including Daryl.
I hopped in the tree and the fact that I had just killed Dale didn't even phase me. But when we're people going to stop dying?
