Daryl Dixon x Reader romance

Chapter 29

I woke up to talking. I stepped out of my cell and looked out the window, and saw Rick. He must've been hallucinating again.
I walked down towards the talking and saw everyone else with a map. "We could kill him tonight." Glenn said, clearly determined because of what the governor did to Maggie.
"How do we know he's gonna attack?" Beth asked.
"He will." Michonne said. Glenn looked up at Michonne.
"Me and you. We could kill him tonight." Glenn said.
"That's not what Rick would want." Hershel said calmly.
"Fine. But we can't run. We're defending this place." Glenn stated. I walked away, I didn't care.
I went outside while everyone debated what to do.
I saw Glenn and Hershel go outside.
"I'm going on a drive." Glenn said. "To the governor?" Hershel asked. Glenn shook his head.
"Your rage will get you killed." Hershel said. Glenn took a car and left. Great. Glenn, Rick and Daryl are gone.
I saw Carol and Axel talking about 40 feet away from me. They seemed to be hitting it off.
I turned my head and heard a gunshot and when I looked back, Axel was shot in the head and Carol was underneath his body. Beth and Carl were hiding and I saw Rick and Michonne running towards the gates. I pulled my gun out and hid behind a piece of wall.
I heard more gunshots and saw Axels body getting shot more while Carol was behind it. I tried to run and shoot but my knee aches from jumping out of the car at Woodbury. Maggie ran out of the prison with guns and handed one to Beth. Everyone was shooting. It went silent for a second and I looked around and saw Rick and Hershel laying down in the tall grass. I heard a car and it drove inside the prison and let walkers out. We all started shooting again, and I saw Rick outside of the fence struggling with walkers. I saw some people run up to him and kill the walkers but I couldn't tell who it was. The guys from Woodbury drove off and left us with the walkers. I hurried into the prison along with everyone else. The field was covered in walkers and we couldn't leave the prison now.
I saw Rick and Michonne come in.
Then, I saw Merle and Daryl. I assumed those were the two guys who had saved Rick.
Daryl looked at me and I walked away, and into my cell.
"I think we should leave." I heard Hershel say.
"More people will die if we leave." Glenn argued.
"We can't even go outside." Beth added on.
I sat in my cell, sharpening my knifes.
"Y'all started something. Hell, he could just starve us out if he wanted to." Merle said. I noticed they kept Merle locked in the other cell.
"Merles got a point." I heard Daryl say.
I kept sharpening all my knifes while they talked away.
"Axels dead. We need to leave." Hershel said again.
They talked some more.
"We're already low on food and ammo." I heard Glenn say. This time, I think it was just Glenn, Hershel, Rick and Daryl talking.
"We've been there before." Daryl said. "Before Merle was here." Glenn said. "He's here to stay. Get used to it." Daryl snapped back. "Let's calm down." Rick said.
"All y'all." Daryl said and I heard him come up the stairs. I sat on my bed , still sharpening knifes.
Daryl stood there and looked at me. I looked back at him but didn't say anything. He walked into my cell room and stood there in silence for a bit.
"What?" I asked, still sharpening knifes.
Daryl chewed on his thumb fingernail, a bad habit he's always had.
"I'm sorry." Daryl whispered.  I looked up at him.
"You always do this." I whispered back. Daryl turned his head in confusion. "You be an asshole and then apologize like it's supposed to be okay." I whispered again. Daryl didn't answer. I started sharpening knifes again.
"I know. I'm sorry baby." Daryl whispered again. I blushed and smiled without looking at him.
"Come here." I said. Daryl walked over to me and sat down beside me. I wrapped my arms around him and he kissed the top of my head.
"I don't know why I thought I could leave you." Daryl said. "That I'd be okay with leaving you." He added on.
The cell block door opened and Daryl and I both got up. Rick was holding onto Andreas arm.
"Andrea?" I said. Andrea looked up at me and I ran down and hugged her while Rick was still holding onto her. Everyone gathered around.
We caught Andrea up to speed on everyone we've lost, and what's happened, but of course no one was impressed with her since she was apparently a thing with the governor.
Andrea and Michonne talked outside and Andrea stayed with us for a little bit.
"Y/n." Rick called and I came down. "Andreas leaving." Rick said. I went outside and saw Andrea in a car, and suddenly got an idea.
"Andrea I'm coming with you." I told her as I adjusted my backpack. Andrea looked around at everyone else.
"Y/n, no you're not." Rick told me.
"I'm not going to kill him. Just to get information." I said.
"He won't let you leave." Andrea told me. "He doesn't have to know I'm there." I said, looking at Andrea. "Y/n, I just got back. You can't leave again." Daryl said. "No, this isn't up to anyone but me." I stated.
Glenn looked at Daryl. "You know what he did to Maggie." Glenn whispered to Daryl. "You're not going." Daryl said right after Glenn said that.
I grabbed Daryls arms.
"Hey. I'll be okay, he won't even know I'm there. I'll just get some information and sneak back out." I said.
"It's a days walk." Rick said. I nodded.
I held onto Daryls arms. "I'll be okay." I told him again.
"I don't like this. Please don't go." Daryl begged me.
"It's not a good idea y/n." Glenn said to me.
I looked around at them.
"I'll be okay. I'll see you soon." I said as I hugged Daryl.
"If you don't want to be seen, go in the trunk. I'll park the car where all the cars are, and you can get out at night. Only get out at night." Andrea said.
I nodded.
"This is a bad idea." Daryl said looking at me.
"I'll see you soon." I said, as I hoped into the trunk and closed it.
I looked out of the broken taillight and saw Daryls face. He looked hurt and I felt bad. I wasn't sure if I was going to be okay.
Andrea drove off and drove all the way back to Woodbury. I hoped what I said to Daryl was true. That I'd be okay.
