Winter had passed. Michonne, Andrea and I had become very close but I was always different.
"Andrea, you're sick." Michonne begged Andrea to take medicine.
"Fine." Andrea finally gave in and took the medicine Michonne had scavenged.
I sat in the corner of the tiny store we cleared out and have been staying in.
We all sat down in silence and Andrea was covered in blankets.
"Do you think Loris baby is okay?" I asked Andrea.
"Would you stop talking about they group?" Andrea begged. All I talked about was them. I guess it annoyed Andrea.
"She's like 8 months pregnant now." I said.
Andrea looked at me. She looked very sick.
"Daryl is fine." She said, leaning her head back on the wall. I nodded. I knew he was, just that fact I would never see him again hurt.
We sat in silence for a bit.
"We should go in a few days." Michonne whispered.
"And go where?" Andrea asked, her voice all scratchy.
"I don't know. Andrea you need medical care. If we find a group that would help." Michonne said.
We didn't say anything.
"I'll go." I whispered. Andrea and Michonne stared at me, confused.
"I'm healthy. I'll go look for a group that can help Andrea and Michonne you can stay here and take care of her while I do that." I said.
Michonne looked at the ground. It looked like she was thinking about it.
"And if you find a group and they take you?" Michonne asked.
"Then don't come looking for me." I responded.
They both stayed silent. "I'm leaving in the morning to at least look." I said turning to my side to sleep.

I woke up and Michonne and Andrea were still sleeping. I put my backpack around my shoulders and tucked my knife and gun in my waist and and left. I walked up the road and made sure to be out in the open and near buildings which is something we never do.
"Help!" I called out. Of course, there was no answer.
I walked for 10 more minutes until I saw smoke. I followed where it was coming from and saw a helicopter crash.
The men inside had already turned to walkers.
The bushes moved and I saw people come out.
"Don't shoot." I said, not caring if they even did shoot.
The men held their guns up but didn't seem like they were about to shoot.
"My friends sick. She needs help." I said, pointing in the direction I had come from.
The men didn't say anything.
"I recognize that voice anywhere." A familiar voice said. Another man stepped out of the trees.
"I'll be damned." He whispered. My jaw dropped when I realized I was staring at Merle.
"Holy shit." I whispered. Then men lowered their guns.
I went up to Merle and I hugged him. He wasn't a hugger but he did hug me back.
I looked at his hand and saw he had replaced it with a knife.
"That's fucking cool." I whispered. Merle laughed.
"How my little brother?" He asked.
My heart sank. "I-I don't know. We got split up, I haven't seen him in months." I admitted.
Merle didn't say anything.
"Well, who's the friend that needs help?" He asked.
"Andrea." I whispered. Merle scoffed. "That's the same bitch that left me on the damn roof." Merle said, looking around at the men. I nodded.
"Daryl and I went back for you. It was too late. Daryl was really pissed, he tried fighting those cops." I laughed. Merle laughed too.
"Alright. Bring me to your friends. You guys go back." Merle demanded and the other men killed the walkers from the helicopter crash and left.

Merle and I walked up the road on our way back to the store. "I got a car here. No point in walkin'." Merle said. We hopped in the car parked on the side of the road and drove where I told him to.
"So when you last saw my little brother how was he?" Merle asked. I thought about that.
The truth is, he was pissed at everything happening and wasn't talking to anyone but Rick.
"He was.. normal Daryl." I said.
Merle smiled. We arrived at the store. "I'll get em. They're scared of people." I said to Merle and I hopped out of the car.
"Andrea, Michonne!" I called as I entered.
Michonne got up and stood in the doorway, looking at me. "I-I found someone. Someone I knew before this, and he has a group. He'll help." I promised them.
"And you know this guy? He's safe?" Michonne asked, trying to look behind my shoulder to see him.
I wouldn't say safe. "I trust him. Just don't get on his nerves, he can come off kinda.. aggressive." I said.
"Oh, and Andrea knew him. The story of leaving that guy on the roof and he cut of his hand? Yeah. It's that guy." I said, starting to realize how bad this sounded.
Michonne nodded. I went back out to the car and Michonne and Andrea both hopped in the backseat.
"Well. Nice to see you again." Merle said, looking at Andrea.
Andreas eyes widened. "Merle?" She asked.
Merle nodded and drove off.

When we got there, it looked like a normal sanctuary.
There were people on guard and they had huge walls.
"Welcome to Woodbury." Merle said as he turned the engine off and got out of the car.
The guards helped Andrea inside, and I could tell Michonne was skeptical. I was too, but I didn't care.
"We'll get you fixed up." Some man said.
"That's the governor." Merle said.
The governor smiled. "That's what they call me." He said.
We brought Andrea into what looked like a doctors office. They had medicine and beds, and it looked like it used to.
They layed Andrea down and hooked her up to some machines. Michonne and I stood there in silence, exchanging looks with eachother. "You don't talk much." Merle said, eyeing Michonne.
Michonne just looked at him and didn't say anything.
"We aren't staying here." Michonne looked at me and whispered.
"I know." I said in a whisper. I knew Michonne didn't like staying with people, and neither did I. We only came here for Andrea, but I wasn't sure I could leave Merle again, especially without Daryl.
"After Andrea is better." Michonne whispered to me again. "I... I cant leave Merle without Daryl." I said.
Michonne looked at me.
"If you ever find Daryl again, you know that Merle is here." Michonne said to me. That was true.

The governor gave us a room while we stayed a night. Andrea stayed in the hospital room overnight.
"We can't leave know." Michonne said in a panic as soon as the governor walked away.
"You think they're going to let us leave now?" Michonne said.
I knew she was right. "I'll talk to Merle. Or you can leave first." I whispered.
Michonne nodded.
"When Andrea is better we have to leave." Michonne whispered.
I nodded.
It felt nice to lay in a bed and have running water. But I was still thinking about how we were going to leave without them following us. I knew Merle wouldn't, but I was sure about the others.
I closed my eyes and tried to relax.
Where was Daryl when you need em?
