Kabanata 3
D-Day
Unknown Number:
Subdv's Pav. Sat. 3.
Kumunot ang noo ko sa nabasa. Ano 'to? Wrong sent or prank texter? I scribbled my message.
Ako:
Lokohin mo lelang mo.
I saw Mariette texted that phrase to a prank texter before. Maybe that prank texter will know his or her place. I chuckled at that.
Unknown Number:
What?
Ako:
Watawat.
This is ridiculous! I was laughing my ass out when I received another two consecutive messages from the same number.
And I almost choked in air when I read the text. Ah, what an idiot, Seraiah Francisco.
Unknown Number:
Wrong number? This is Ephraim.
Unknown Number:
Seraiah Francisco, right?
Hanep, you're screwed, Seraiah!
Ako:
I'm sorry! I thought you were a prank texter.
After I sent my reply, I received a call from him. Nanginginig ko iyong sinagot.
"Subdivision's Pavilion. 3 PM. Saturday. See you." And he ended the call.
What was that?
It took me more than five minutes to finally understand what he was talking about. He just told me informations I need to know for the date this weekend.
The place, the time and the day.
The heck?
We were currently eating dinner when I opened up the topic about my date this weekend. Of course, I need to let her know about it. Kapag hindi niya ako pinayagan, that's better.
"Mom, I'll go out this weekend. Saturday," I said.
She put down her utensils on the table then she intertwined her both hands, her chin rested above. And she's emitting a strong aura tonight. I pursed my lips to prevent it from stretching a smile.
"With who?"
"With this guy that Psalm set me up with. Ephraim's the name."
She looked at me intently with her brow slightly shot up. I'm really convinced that she won't let me go out this weekend. That's nice.
