Kabanata 9
Ruined
As I lie awake on my bed, looking at the blinking diamond stars and the moon hanging on it, I smiled.
Nothing really beats the sky at night. Well, that's for me. I appreciate the stars, be it dead or alive. Especially the moon, whether it's full or not.
I can see the nightsky clearly because my Mom especially designed my room to be like this.
Though not all the time.
Some call this as a childish act but I don't really care. I love the rain.
Though I am not actually a nosy person, I slowly walked towards where the people were gathered.
What pushed me to come was the rope, hanging on a molave tree. It was tied on an unfamiliar girl's neck.
"Suicide?" I whispered.
I love the rain, the nightsky, as well as mystery and thriller. Which may be the reason why I don't have many friends at school.
I am usually influenced by informations I read online or in different books.
She's hanged and obviously dead.
The guy was probably a police officer.
"Kiss her," someone from the crown of murmured.
My lips parted a bit and my eyes grew wide.
From his thick brows and dark eyes, his narrow nose and thin pinkish lips, his angled jaw, broad shoulders and firm chest... I was able to notice these details of him even though there's only a limited light.
And tonight, he's wearing a plain white hoodie, the same one he wore when we first met. Pero hindi na iyon ang mahalaga.
Anong ginagawa niya rito?
I looked at him with disbelief, trying to process what he said for a moment. Even the people gathered around shared their insights regarding his request.
"'Wag mo siyang sundin. Makakuha ka pa ng sakit diyan."
