Maadwoa and Gifty sit on Maadwoa's verandah, taking snaps with their phones, trying different filters and saving the ones that look pretty. Nana is inside listening to a radio station, as a way to ignore the two girls. Tyler said he would come over as well to hang out, but when he heard Gifty's voice on the phone in the background, he suddenly said he was busy. Clearly, he and Gifty aren't talking after what happened at the bowling alley. They both really want to talk to each other and clear the air, but their pride and nerves won't let them.

Gifty squeals at her phone, smiling at the picture she just took. It had the flower crown filter and it made her skin look blemish free. She was definitely posting this one. Maadwoa looks at her friend with a chuckle.

"Why are you so excited?"

"I just took the best picture ever! Put me on Vogue."

Gifty shows the picture to Maadwoa, who nods in approval. It was definitely a nice picture but she didn't understand why Gifty was so elated.

"At least post the picture first. How will Vogue find you?" Maadwoa jokes and Gifty nods.

"Don't worry, I will post this. I will make sure this beauty does not go unnoticed." she murmurs, tapping on the screen, making Maadwoa playfully roll her eyes as she knew what Gifty meant. Gifty needed to make sure that Tyler saw this snap, especially since they still follow each other on social media. She thought that maybe Tyler would come back to his senses and realize that he didn't want to remain broken up. She knows that it may come off as desperate, but she just wasn't ready to let go of him.

Meanwhile, Afia parks her shiny, red car behind the little house (or dump, as she liked to call it) and steps out of it, slamming the door behind her. Paulina and Joy also step out from the backseat, flipping their hair over their shoulder. After seeing the picture of Maadwoa and her beloved fiance, she wanted to let it go after Danny kissed her, but her friends convinced her to give another warning to Maadwoa. Although they don't know that Danny and Afia are set to marry, they are not blind to the fact that Afia has feelings for Danny, so they also see Maadwoa as a nuisance and threat to their best friend's love life.

The three mean girls strut towards the little house, making sure to sway their hips for added effect. Once they make a turn at the side of the house, Afia crosses her arms and marches towards the two girls on the verandah with a glare on her face, as her friends trail behind her. Maadwoa and Gifty see the girls approaching them and cock their heads in confusion. They've never seen these girls before and from their appearance, they don't live in their village.

Afia and her friends plants their feet in front of the two seated girls, glaring down at them in disgust, while Maadwoa and Gifty tighten their lips uneasily. Afia glances between both girls, trying to figure out which one is Maadwoa. Her gaze stops on one of the girls; the familiar dark skin, the dimpled cheek, and the thick natural hair, all resembled the girl in the picture.

"It's this one, isn't it?" Afia asks her friends, pointing at Maadwoa.

"Yes, it's her!" Joy exclaims, pointing at her while Paulina nods in agreement.

The two seated girls exchange a look of bewilderment, both with eyebrows raised and eyes narrowed. Where could these girls know them from?

"Um, good mor-" Maadwoa starts but the girl with the long box braids intervenes.

"Shut up!" Afia yells, causing both girls to flinch at her vicious tone. Maadwoa closes her mouth obediently, but Gifty glares at the short girl standing in front of them. She wouldn't allow a random person to talk to her friend like that.

"Don't tell her to shut up. Who do you think you are?" Gifty retorts, scanning her up and down.

The girls cackle like witches. They found it funny that these village girls had the audacity to speak back to them as if they are on the same level.
