She woke up with the wildest dream ever; a vivid, realistic fantasy filled with crazy images and sensual sounds imprinted on her memories; a beautiful night sky bathed by countless bright stars, and a gentle breeze ruffling the curtains of a room in which she was making out with the most unbelievable person ever.

What was worse was that this particular scene became more real when her eyelids fluttered open.

Before her drowsy sight was the replica of the bedroom she had dreamt about,  albeit with a lot less romantic atmosphere, and the sight caused her to shoot up from her comfortable spot to stare around the unfamiliar surroundings, trying to remember how she got there.

For a fleeting moment, her brain was completely blank with little or no memories from the previous night, and she was clueless about what exactly happened to her after drinking too much.

But then the recollection flooded into her system suddenly like a bucket of cold water being poured over her head, and the particular part of kissing Jayden Stanley surfaced in her mind, confirming what she saw earlier as a reality more than a dream, and that realization sent screams bursting in her throat.

Her loud, terrifying scream was shattered by the opening of the large double door, followed by footsteps echoing down the large room.

Maria immediately froze up at the sight of the lofty figure coming in through the entrance, her breathing quickening nervously at his eyes that seemed to glow in their dark shade of gold, and his presence dropping a heavy weight on her shoulders.

His gaze swept across the space briefly before landing on her face and locked onto it, taking in the pale color of her skin, the pink tips of her ears, and the messy curls covering her shoulders and falling on either side of her cheekbone, which gave her a delicate look in comparison to her usual self.

After what seemed like forever, he started to approach her slowly, and every step he took made her heart hammer with anxiety. It took all of her willpower to remain sitting still, and when he halted in front of the bed, she was surprised to see him squat before her, and her breath held when he leaned forward to shift the strands blocking her face.

"What-what are you doing...?" Her voice cracked with a mixture of nervousness and confusion, and she instinctively hit his hand away, her eyes searching his face drastically as though she was staring at a ghost.

In strong comparison to her, he looked so calm and composed, his dark brown eyes were unwavering staring at her intently, and she suddenly felt very small underneath his scrutiny.

"You are finally awake. His voice filled the silence between them and she finally managed to gaze at him. A strange emotion appeared in those black depths, which was hard to read, yet there was a hint of gentleness in his tone. "Any hangovers?"

She blinked several times to clear her clouded mind, staring at his face speechlessly before bolting upwards, and taking a few steps back from him in a haste."Ho-how am I here?" She stammered slightly, her eyes scanning the room frantically as though it could somehow provide her a plausible answer for everything she was currently feeling.

A confused expression settled upon his features before straightening his posture, tilting his face slightly to the side as if trying to understand what she meant, and for a moment, she could almost see his thoughts racing behind his eyes. "You have no memories of getting here last night?" he probed and noticed the slight blush that crept up the sides of her cheeks at his last words.

It took her a moment to answer since she was yet to tell the real reality apart from the dream she had, with her eyes resisting the urge to lower their sight to those seducing lips of his she saw herself pressing hers against just moments ago.
