Small Habits

The team had their own suspicions but they never guessed it was something like this.

It all started when he was acting different from his usual habits. But they kept their concerns to themselves.

Not really thinking it was a big deal. It went on for a couple of weeks.

Until that one moment that completely had their jaws drop.

At first, it was the little things.

"Oi, Ryuu!"

Said male snapped out of his daydream and turned his head towards the person he called.

"What are you staring at? You've been at it all day." His bestfriend put his hands on his hips. Eyebrows furrowed as Noya was curious as to why Tanaka seem put off.

The spiker waved it off. "Nah it's nothing. Just thinking." "Ehh you can think? Heavens I thought your head is filled about our manager." This irked the shave headed male. "Oi Tsukishima!!"

The same thing happened on the way home from practice.

"Noya! Stop trying to climb the tree." Asahi cried out while simultaneously trying to pull the libero down."

"HAHAHAHAH KAGEYAMA I'M FASTER THAN YOU!" "HINATA BOKEE COME BACK HEREE!!"

"Stop shouting you dweebs. You do this all the time." "But it's kind of entertaining isn't it?" "Yamaguchi, urusai." "Gomen, Tsukki."

"OI SHUT UP YOU'RE DISTURBING THE WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD!!" "Daichi...now you're being loud." Suga sweatdropped.

Meanwhile, Tanaka was trudging slowly at the back of the group. His gaze on the ground while being deep in thought. "Tanaka are you okay? Is there something on your mind?" Ennoshita who was worried at his friend odd state asked his teammate. "Yeah you've been daydreaming all day! Even at practice." Noya appeared in front of the male.

"E-eh?! Have I? Nah...it's nothing." He looked to the sky. "Just a few things I've been thinking about. Suga and Daichi looked at him skeptically but decided to brush it off. "It's weird seeing you all quiet like this. Usually you would've been screaming like there's no tomorrow." Narita piped in.

That seemed to hit a nerve in Tanaka. "HAAAAA?!?! WHAT DOES THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN??"

"Hey! He's back to normal."

"Tch! You shouldn't fuss about me. Nothing could put off the great Tanaka!" He snickered.

The literal sunshine decided to add "That's right. Nothing could throw you off right Tanaka-senpai?!" "HAHAHAHAH CALL ME SENPAI AGAIN!!"

They'd all brushed it off seemingly as it never bothered him while he was on the court. However, his schedule seems to be packed lately.

Twice a week at least, he would rush out of the gym after having complete his cleaning duties.

"Oi aren't you going home with us?!" Noya shrieked after his best friend who had rushed out of the clubroom.

Tanaka who was already down the stairs "Nah I have something to do today!!" Then he would run off to God know where.

There was sometimes he'd be interested in something he usually wasn't.

"Eh? Tanaka, I didn't know you liked those things." Suga chirped. Seeing Tanaka flipping through a fashion magazine was odd as he never indulged himself in the fashion world.

"Oh. It's nothing just saw something interesting." He quickly put the magazine back on the shelf in Coach Ukai's store and went to Noya as said libero was eating two ice creams at once.

The third year setter stared at the magazine for a bit and went back to his team.

Suga was slightly worried and was hesitant to ask to him but he decided not to intrude anyways.

The rest of the team also thought it was best to ignore it as it really never affect his school duties and performance on the court.

Ennoshita and Noya was a bit concerned for their best friend but didn't ask any questions.
