"Hey, angel." you heard an unnaturally deep voice say through the phone and your heart suddenly jolted almost in an instant at the unexpected sound.
You gulped.
"H-Hi?" you tried your best to force out with a shaky breath.
"You sound scared." the voice chuckled lowly and yet another weird jolt was sent straight to your heart.
Your now quickened heartbeat played as a huge distraction as you struggled to properly concentrate on the phone call at hand. Your mind was raging in so much panic that you had trouble finding something decent to say to the man on the other end of the line. This was so embarrassing.
"Angel~" he began to sing to you teasingly, "I told you not to be scared of me, I don't bite~"
You released a silent yet shaky breath and prepared yourself to say whatever came out first, in hopes that it would be somewhat logical.
"B-But I'm scared of dogs." you blurted out stupidly.
