Going home was inevitable, and after the messages from her aunt, she figured the sooner the better. The trio that was left once JJ had disappeared remained very much on edge. Pope was seething with guilt, so much so he was barely acting like himself. They had to let him worry by himself, however, because of the approaching evening event. Kiara gave Luna a lift to her street, and the girl made sure to thank her profusely for letting her stay and driving her around so much. Her skateboard still sat across the backseats, but she wasn't exactly in the mood to use it.
Walking inside was easy this time, the front door unlocked. She barely made it two center-meters inside when she was met with a loud voice. "Finally Luna. We thought you'd been kidnapped or something. Mom was going crazy this morning when you still weren't home."
Luna ignored her cousin, walking straight past him as if he wasn't there. He had a light bruising on his cheek, but other than that he looked fine, he looked normal. That was a lot more than you could say for both pogue boys. Just seeing his face made her angry; she was beginning to understand why the teens on the cut hated the kooks so much.
Topper scoffed. "What are you doing?"
The brunette continued to take off her shoes, before dropping both them and her skateboard next to the door. She didn't reply. She didn't want to act like everything was fine, because it definitely was not. Instead she just frowned and began to make her way out of the hallway to find her aunt.
The boy cut her off before she could, stepping suddenly in front of her and grabbing her arm. "Why are you ignoring me?"
The movement meant she had sort of bumped into him, unable to walk around because of his tight grip. Unfortunately it happened to be in the same place as her already large bruise, so it wasn't exactly comfortable. "Fuck off, asshole."
Luna yanked her wrist away harshly, and whilst it hurt, it worked, and she was able to continue walking away from him.
"Why are you acting like a child?" Topper exasperated.
"Me? A child?" She suddenly snarled, his presence growing increasingly frustrating.
"Yes you. You're being so immature." He snapped back, though his confidence seemed a little wavering now.
The girl laughed sarcastically. "Oh yeah of course. Because it was me, wasn't it, who assaulted some passerby for no reason? Oh and it was me who did that very same thing last night too! Would you look at that. Almost strangled a guy too, for the second time, may I add. Can't forget about all those drugs I've been taking. Wow I'm such a child."
