There was a familiar feeling to their current stance. Boy stood at girls door. De-ja-vu if you will. This was probably because just a few days ago they had been stood in those very same spots, however then it had been lunch time, instead of the quiet hour of midnight.

"JJ?"

"Hi." The blonde boy stood in front of her looked beyond nervous, which was a lot different from his usual smirking smile and mischievous eyes. Under his eyes lay dark circles, and Luna was a little surprised she hadn't noticed them earlier. She was even more surprised he had turned up at her house.

Her day had been beyond crazy; perhaps the most eventful she would ever experience. So much had happened, and she had gone through so many emotions. Now there was something more to add to the list?

"What are you-" She began, stuttering in a sort of breathlessness. JJ was all flirty and nice this morning, then he kissed her, then he wouldn't even look at her, yet now he was knocking on her door?

The boy interrupted, motioning quickly at the umbrella she was still holding out like some sort of sword. "Can you put that down. I don't wanna get hit by it. It looks sharp."

"Yeah," She muttered quietly, shoving it into the stand behind the door. "Sorry. Could have been a robber or something."

"I'm not."

"But you could've- never mind." She watched him shuffle awkwardly on the spot. This time she noticed the small backpack on his shoulders. "What are you doing here?"

"Is your aunt here? Or Topper?"

"No they're-" But then the girl tilted her head. "You're here to see my family?"

"Fuck no." JJ almost laughed, but he met her eyes and coughed awkwardly instead. "I was wondering...if...this is gonna sound weird probably..."

"...yeah."

"CouldIpleasestayovernight." His sudden rush of speech was almost inaudible, but Luna heard. She watched him with confusion as he pulled of his cap to run a hand through his wavy hair. He obviously noticed her perplexed mood, however. "John B's at the Cameron's now, and Pope's dad won't let me stay there. Kie's on the boat, obviously and I...I don't have anywhere else to go."

Luna continued to study the boy in front of her. It seemed like a whole different person to the one she had been with just an hour ago. Eventually she opened the door and stepped out the way, allowing him access. "Of course."
