The quiet chiming of some distant clock woke up Luna the next morning. At first everything was normal and usual and what she would expect to wake up to, but then her leg began to ache, reminding her of the events of the previous day.

The girl let her eyes adjust to the natural light that now flooded the room, and at first she winced when it was too bright, but after a few moments it was fine and she could see. However this meant she could see the arm draped gently over her stomach- an arm that was definitely not her own.

JJ Maybank was lay peacefully to her side, body facing down and head squished into the pillow it was residing on. At first Luna, mid-yawn, was startled and almost jumped away. But then as she remembered what had happened, she remembered last night, and she remembered him, and she couldn't help but smile. It was wide and genuine, the type of smile she knew she'd be teased for if someone else were present, but they weren't and honestly? She didn't care. The butterflies that fluttered inside of her made her feel so happy, so full of delight, that in that moment she couldn't imagine feeling anything but that.

The clock across the room informed the girl it was 11. It was probably just as well she'd finally woken considering the plan was to be back at John B's place for 12. So, she looked down to the blonde boy one last time before carefully shaking him awake.

"JJ." No movement came from him, nor any sound. "J?"

After a few seconds of silence, Luna heard him quietly groan. The corners of her mouth tugged upward involuntarily, causing a smirk to fast grow. He looked cute asleep, she couldn't deny, but the inaudible noise was too funny.

The girl reached out to shake his shoulder again, but then paused. What if he changed his mind? What if that had just been late night talking and he didn't really feel the way he said? The last person she had been involved with lied to her for months, would he be the same?

No, the boy lay next to her with his eyes closed seemed so calm right then, it looked like he could never hurt anyone. The hint of a smile that lay across his face was welcoming and warm, and Luna remembered the immediate trust she felt she could place in him.

"JJ-" She began to whisper again, this time a bit louder, when the arm that was still resting on her body pulled her quickly and suddenly towards him. The girl barely had time to react, letting out a small squeal as her figure rolled towards him in the bed until her face was right next to his. "You're awake." She giggled.

"Unfortunately." His voice was deep and a little husky- Luna felt embarrassed for blushing but it was definitely attractive, she was just glad he had his eyes closed still. Until they weren't, and they were open and staring right into her own and she was blushing all over again.

"Good morning." She spoke with a breathy voice herself, trying to resist laughing. The brunette was unsure of what else to say, but it wasn't an awkward uncertainty. Instead: comfortable and nice.
