Twisting onto my other side, my legs bumped into something. Someone. Peeking through one eye, I caught glimpse of Griffin sleeping, facing me. Her hands were tucked under her left cheek, her head tilted upwards a little bit. She was breathing through her nose with her soft lips apart until she had to swallow. She did not wake yet.

She wore a shirt to bed with soft pyjama bottoms, the duvet pulled up all the way to her neck. There was a stuffed bunny above her head, lying on the pillow. It looked worn and barely hanging on by a thread, though that could've been explained by the fact that she's had it for years.

I turned on my back again and rubbed the sleep from my eyes with the heel of my palms. Reaching for my phone, a yawn escaped my lips, turning my eyes slightly blurry for a second. As I blinked the tears away, I unlocked the device and scrolled through my apps. Grabbing another pillow from the floor, I shoved it under my head and yawned again, whacking my elbow in the bedside cabinet. It made Griffin move and make a quiet noise, huff and throw her arms down by her side, over the duvet. Following her movements, she checked the time on her phone then turned towards me.

"What?" she mumbled in a deep voice. She sounded extremely sleepy and it caused me to giggle. We watched thirteen episodes of a show last night and if I counted correctly, we slept for about five hours.

"You snore."

"I am allergic," she argued, punching my arm. "It's not my fault my nose gets blocked for no reason."

"Yeah, yeah," I teased her and focused my attention back onto my phone.

Eventually, Griffin got out of bed and left the room. I assumed she went to the bathroom, which made me need to go to the toilet, too. While I waited for her to come back, Wes texted me so we had a little chat about today. It was Griffin's birthday. Even though the two didn't really speak since his birthday, which took place at Devotion, she invited him. She also invited Katherine since she wanted to make sure I'll have enough people present who I'll be able to talk to. This time, my best friend did not reject the offer. It was almost like she was curious to attend and I couldn't help but wonder why.

Once Griffin was back from the bathroom, I went. Having slept over a good amount of times by now, I had my own toothbrush here and a couple of items of clothing though that was mostly because I'd leave them here and forget about them. After I freshened up a little, I went back to the bedroom, yawning as a shiver ran down my spine. I chuckled when I caught Griffin lying under the sheets again, wrapped up like a burrito with her eyes closed. She looked so cute with her cheeks squished and eyebrows pulled together.

"You stare a lot," she mumbled while I got in bed next to her. She peeked up and moved closer. In the end, she curled to me and sighed heavily. "I'm hungry."
