The phone call came to an abrupt end. Feeling my heart thumping in my throat, sweat building around my hairline, I was at a disadvantage by being in London. Starting to feel worried as one moment passed by, then another, in dead silence.

Blinking to ease myself back into the real world, echoes of Griffin's broken voice played in my ears. Unable to help as she begged me, to then hear the call cut, the worst thoughts clouded my mind. Terrified of what was happening to her as I sat there on my bed, in nothing but boxers and sweat covering my body. Anxiety rushed through me in large enough waves to feel my throat tighten, the beat of my heart drumming in my ears.

Swallowing the lump in my throat as I grasped the phone in my hands, I dialled her number over and over. Each time, it went straight to voicemail. Panic turned into frustration as my attempts at reaching out to her, failed.

What were only minutes, felt like hours. Jolting in my seat as my phone went off, the shaky hand of mine reached for it, sliding the screen to the side. Doubtful of who was on the other end, I pressed it to my ear and with a second of silence, Callum's peeved voice filled the line. Majority of what he said, went straight over my head, only focusing on his words when they started with a 'g' and ended with an 'n' with 'riffi' in the middle.

I was in no position to travel which left me alone in my home, worrying about the woman I adored in danger. Taking the attack into consideration, half an hour after my phone call with the older Walker, a knock on my front door made me crawl out of my anxiety ridden bed. Opening it, I came face to face with two very serious-looking gentlemen, informing me of their duty to keep me safe. Overwhelmed by the security sent to ensure my protection, I invited them inside, only for them to search through the entire place and secure it.

It wasn't another half an hour later, that my phone rang. Nervous in case of a negative wave of news will be shared, I wondered desperately what was taking so long and what was happening.

"She's safe and with me. The jet is landing in ten minutes. I'm taking her home with me," he spoke in a tense tone, his words spewing out quick as he tried to inform me. "Security knows the address, let them know if you want to come by."

The past couple of hours have been a complete and utter blur. Not much of what happened, stuck. Experiencing the events over the phone put me at a disadvantage yet still kept me safe. Meanwhile I had no visual of what was happening, what I have heard, gave plenty to my imaginative mind. The same couldn't be said for Griffin. She was there and saw everything first hand. I wasn't sure how impacted she was until I saw her a while after the explosion happened.
