Shang Tsung's presence met that he was ready for the tournament to commence, yet all this time, Kalliste had forgotten all about it. She was expected to participate, but she didn't want to anymore; she had enough of playing at being a pawn. It was time for the participants to travel to Shang Tsung's island, and that meant that Kalliste needed to get going. Kollector said he wasn't participating and that he would be residing in Outworld during the time, and she still hadn't talked to him about their plan. The tournament would begin soon, so Kalliste decided to converse with Kollector again before leaving in hopes that he could come.
Kollector was later found walking through the corridors until Kalliste caught up with him, "Kollector!" She called out to him. Despite his inner cravings for her, he appeared to be more neutral to her than usual.
"Yes?" He asked, looking over his shoulder.
She looked down at him, "You have to come with me to Shang Tsung's island."
He glanced back at her, "Yes, how could I forget such an opportunity?" Then she was surprised. "Oh, I thought you had forgotten all about our deal after your... outrage." She explained.
He smirked at her with his glowing eyes, "No. I would not so easily let a valuable deal go to waste. I have already contended with Shao Kahn about my absence, and he has approved it."
Kalliste stared back at him blankly as a small smile raised, "Good..."
He smiled again, "I look forward to our deal."
Kalliste nervously chuckled at his response, "Okay, well, let's go. There's a ship waiting." They left the arena together and entered the hallways leading toward the ship. Other champions were awaiting on board the vessel and Kalliste groaned front the sight of it all. She couldn't wait any longer to get out of there and see what else life held for her.
The ship began moving when they reached it, and Kalliste looked around as she took in everything. The trip to Shang Tsung's island shouldn't take too long, considering that they weren't traveling by boat like everyone else.
A group of people sat together in one area, talking among themselves. Kalliste noticed one man standing near them who wore a white robe and carried a staff. A large muscular woman and some other creatures resided on the ship too. She wondered if any of these people would participate in the tournament.
As they approached the group of people, the man turned and looked directly at them. His face seemed familiar, and she tried to place where she might know him from.
"Oh, it's you. Little black widow." He commented. His voice was raspy, and the side of his face was darkened with a violet color. Kalliste raised a brow as she crossed her arms at him. "I don't know you do I?"
"You should. You being the sorcerer's slave, should know your place. You attacked my clan, remember?" He pointed at the large scar around his neck, the cause for his struggling, hoarse voice. He scoffed, "You were just a little girl back then. Now, look at you. A grown woman." The man reached out to her until Kollector suddenly cut off his hand with his sickle. Kalliste watched as blood splattered across the floor.
Kollector pulled away from him as he cried out in pain. Kollector glared at him, "How dare you lay a finger on my property?" The man snarled at Kollector in agony and distress, spitting in anguish, "You--- mangy Nakadan. I'll rip your filthy arms off!"
Kollector chuckled dimly, "You may try, but you do not possess my skills nor could you." The man growled lowly at him and lunged towards him, only for Kollector to quickly dodge his attack. He gave up shortly as he continued to bleed out. Kalliste was stunned, flabbergasted by such a show.
