Chapter Twenty-One

"You! You did this!"Mrs. Kaspbrak said pointing her finger at the kids as she practically dragged Eddie to her car.

"You know how delicate he is." She exclaimed.

"W-we were attack M-Mrs. K-K."Bill tried to explain, but she was having none of it.

Caroline stood on the side watching as the group began falling apart right in front of her. She could feel the tears building back up, as she tried to wipe them away.

"No! No, don't try and blame anyone else."She screamed back opening up the passenger seat, shoving Eddie in, before slamming the door shut.

Mrs. Kaspbrak tried grasping for her keys out of her purse, but she lost her grip and they clang to the hard ground.

"Let me help."Beverly tried, kneeling down to grab the keys, but was shut down immediately.

"Get back."Sonia shrieked out, quickly grabbing up her keys, before looking at Beverly with a smug smirk.

''Oh, I've heard of you Miss Marsh...and I don't want a dirty girl like you touching my son."She spat out, and Carrie watched as Beverly backed up a bit.

She glared at the old fat lady. "At least she ain't a fat old woman with no respect for anyone."She spat back, and she watched as the ugly woman looked at her in shock.

"M-Mrs. K, I s-s-swear."Bill tried again, but was shot down once again.

"No! You are all monsters! All of you, and Eddie is done with you! Do you hear? Done!"She shouted out at them, before hurrying her fatass self to the driver side, and driving away as soon as she put it into drive.

The group followed after it and onto the street. Watching as it drove off in the distance. Watching as it took one of their best friends away.

Bill turned around and looked at the group with determination.

"I saw the well. W-w-w-we know where it is and next time we'll be better prepared."He explained with a hopeful smile, grazed onto his face.

"No! No, next time Bill!"Stanley shouted suprising the group at his sudden outburst.

"Why, we all know that no one else is going to do anything."Beverly insisted, siding with Bill.

"Eddie and Carrie were nearly killed, and look at this motherfucker. He's a leaking hamburger helper!"Richie spoke up, gesturing to Ben and Carrie.

Bill glanced at Carrie and noticed her frozen state, but he brushed it off.

"We can't pretend it's going to go away. Ben, you said it yourself. It comes back every twenty-seven years."Beverly pleaded with Ben, trying to get him to understand.

Caroline stood off the side with Mike next to her. She felt like she was frozen in place, she didn't know where this fight was going, but it was going to be a disaster.

She wasn't prepared for what was about to happen.

"Fine! I'll be forty and far away from here. I thought you said you wanted to get out of this town too!"Ben said, looking at the redhead in disbelief.

"Because I want to run towards something! Not away."Beverly said, stepping towards Ben.

"I'm sorry, who invited Molly Ringwald into the group."Richie asked confused, earning the middle finger from her.

"Richie..."Stanley said, trying to get them to stop.

"I'm just saying! Let's face facts, real world. Georgie is dead! Stop trying to get us killed."Richie blurted out with a glare to Bill.
