2 - Broken -
The docks to one of the other TAPOPS Stations, Astroma, opened up to connect with the shuttle, seeing the damage done to the aircraft. Fang led them inside as he'd been to the station before, seeing several medics prepared to treat the wounded, some of the agents helping carry the stretchers for those critically wounded. Fang halted as the rest followed suit, following his gaze as they saw a masked individual walking towards them, his blue-encrusted helm gleaming towards them as he slightly towered before the dark-blue haired male.
Seeing the familiar arm-band the rest stood proper, saluting to the man, hearing his brief amused chuckle. "I should inquire more of what has happened, but for now I assume this is on short-notice." "Yes, Maskmana. Until the group we came in with are sanction for treatment, we might stay longer." Fang retorted with a faint smile, the older nodding, turning to the rest of the group, soon pin-pointing the taller brunet.
"This must be that Admiral you've talked about before, Fang." Maskmana uttered, both facing Boboiboy who wore a conflicted gaze of confusion and awe, the Fleet Admiral lifted his hand, offering a handshake that the latter took, "I'm Fleet Admiral Maskmana, I hope my team and you get along." "As to you too, sir." Boboiboy spoke in a polite tone, letting go as he faced the remaining alien-agents getting out of the ship, a slight frown appearing on his lips as he thought, 'Just what the hell is going on?' There was cluttering as he turned to see that there were several agents arriving from the main door, Maskmana gestured a hand to them, explaining, "These are the maintenance crew,, we'll need to make sure the ship isn't lugged with explosives."
Boboiboy felt a chill run down his spine when a red-armored figure was moving towards them behind the maintenance crew, unable to mask his shock at the presence of the male. Beneath his mask, Maskmana sensed the tension between them, eyes glowering with alertness. "Nice to formally meet you all. Ciciko had sent a transmission to send back Fang, Gopal and Yaya back to the main station for reports." The slightly gruff and deep-voice elicited a twist in Boboiboy's stomach, something that didn't go unnoticed by Yaya, reaching for his hand as he snapped to look at her, she mouthed, 'Are you okay?' He swallowed the lump in his throat, nodding as he forced a smile, somehow convincing enough for her she excused herself with those mention to return to their ship.
"Amato, these guys are some of the top officers at the Main Base," Maskmana gestured to them, Amato looking towards Boboiboy who looked between the two of them with a skeptical gaze. "Come on, introduce yourselves, this man is also a Fleet Admiral." He added, trying to seem chirpier.
Ying and Gopal introduced themselves warmly as Boboiboy placidly spoke the essentials, standing proper with hands behind his back cocked into a tight fist while he looked down to the ground, "I request to be relieved now, sirs, I have to check some of the staff we came in with." The indifferent tone took his friends by surprised, Gopal about to crack a snarky remark but seeing the cold glare his best-friend gave to Amato was enough to shut him up, Maskmana let him off as Boboiboy waltzed out the room, the tension in the docks loosening up. Ying faced the two Admirals with a sheepish smile, slightly waving hands before her, "Sorry about him. He isn't like that normally, must be tired. That's all." Maskmana let out a heavy sigh, turning his head slightly to Amato's side, not needing to show his disapproving expression beneath the mask for Amato to sense it.
Amato looked down with a distant gaze, "I'm sure it's more of what to do with me than his exhaustion, Commodore and Captain." His disheartened tone piqued the duo's curiosity.
Boboiboy slumped down by the clinic, heaving a breath as he tried to calm himself down from the unstable emotions he felt, cupping his forehead with constricted fingers, mind distracted from seeing a single man. 'Why... Why did I have to meet him? Now of all places...' He thought, head cloudy until a hand was put on his shoulder, he jolted, eyes widened as his glossy gaze met with one of the medics, looking concerned.
"Sir? Are you wounded somewhere?" He inquired, gently letting him go as he stood up, slightly towering over the figure. "I'm f-fine, just a migraine. Thank you for asking." He voiced with a shaky tone, sniffling as he straightened his clothes.
"Maybe you should rest with the others in the clinic?" "I'm–" "Please. You don't look too well and your hands are shaking." The medic voiced, pointing to his hands by his side, making him look down, nodding, "R-right, sorry about that. Maybe you are right." He uttered, soon the medic gestured for him to follow, moving along to one of the clinics. 'Maybe resting could help me? Maybe the stress is making my emotions work.' Entering the room, a whiff of iron and faint cleaner smell welcomed him, seeing some agents attempt to salute him, making him lift a hand, "It's fine, take you rest, i'll move to a free cubicle." His firm voice reassured them, all laying back down as he walked over to the medic, seeing him provide a separate cubicle, pushing the curtain.
Boboiboy moved to the edge of the bed, holding its end as he side-glanced at him, asking, "State your rank and name." The medic stood properly, his alien features looked up to him and saluted, "Medical Staff - A2, Lieutenant Alif, sir." Alif saluted, making Boboiboy turn back to the bed, nodding, "I'll leave the rest of the room to you, don't bother with my migraines." "I'm afraid to say, I'll check up on you later sir as per protocol." Alif interjected with a composed gaze, earning a smirk from the Admiral, "Fine, have it your way, Doctor."
Alif was surprised to see the Admiral grab the drapes beside him, pulling it to shut away the curious eyes of the agents.
There was a praying silence between the people residing inside Amato's workroom, his red-cladded figure leaned over his desk filled with power sphere components as Ying and Gopal remained stiffly before him, looking distraught and in disbelief of the information he shared. "Sir..." Ying spoke up first as the older turned to her to continue, "you mean to tell me, you and Boboiboy are father and son. I believe so with enough similarities you've shown, but..." Ying trailed, unable to broach the topic with ease.
Gopal sighed, "You abandoned him, sir. And I think it's safe to say that he cannot forget as you do." His fist slightly clenched behind his back as per their respectful stance for their superiors.
Gopal's brown orbs trailed the floor, unable to meet his eyes or else his snarky remarks will arise. Amato crossed his arms over his chest, nodding, "I agree. Neither can I simply tell him as so... it costs a lot." His eyes trailed to one of the sleeping power spheres, its back open after some meddlesome power-sphere hunter touched it, a twinge felt in his heart at the familiar sight.
