Bryce's POV

As soon as we got into the hospital, I broke down. I ran into the bathroom, without the boys noticing.

"Are you ok?" An old man asked me as I wiped away my tears.

"No." I answered.

"Is it that Zoe or something?" The old man asked.

"Yeah her name is Zoey. Um. How do you know that?" I asked.

"A man called for her. I was the one to answer. I saw y'all run in and you run in here." The old man said.

"Oh." I said, looking down.

"I'm Carson Maine." The old man said, shaking my hand.

"Bryce Hall." I said, shaking his hand.

"I used to have a girlfriend." Carson said and I gave him a weird look.

"Oh no. She's not my girlfriend, she's just my friend." I said. Carson gave me a weird look.

"I meant having a crush that you wanted to date really badly." Carson said and I smiled.

"I don't know if I like her." I said.

"Why are you in here then?" Carson asked, lifting his eyebrow.

"I couldn't see the sight of her being hurt." I said, slowly.

"You either like her or you're being stupid." Carson said. "Or both."

"Thanks?" I laughed.

"Now go." Carson said, patting my back with a smile.

"Thanks." I said.

I got up and ran outside to see the boys at the door. Zoey was standing in front of them.

I looked back to see Carson and he nodded at me. I ran up and hugged Zoey. She hugged me.

"I missed you, Bryce." Zoey said as we let go of each other.

"Where were you?" Griffin asked.

"I've been in the bathroom, talking to Carson." I answered.

"Who?" Noah asked.

I pointed to where Carson was last time, but he wasn't there. I ran to the bathroom, looked inside, but he wasn't there.

"Carson?" I called, walking out of the bathroom. "Carson!"

"You must be tired, Bry." Blake said and we walked out.

We got in the car and drove out of the parking lot. I turned around to see Carson, leaning up against the hospital with a thumbs up.
