walking between the raindrops, riding the aftershock beside you
off into the sunset, living like there's nothing left to lose
chasing after gold mines, crossing the fine lines we knew
hold on and take a breath, i'll be here every step

Lana wasn't sleeping when they got there. She served them a glass of water as they explained what happened. After that, she let them go to sleep in Isis' small bed --which was large enough to accomodate them both, but only if they stayed pressed against one another. They didn't mind at all, except maybe the heat from the room.
Well, again that was a no, because JJ had to sleep bare-chested. And Isis enjoyed it very much.
They woke up a few hours later. They ate a small breakfast-lunch-snack with Lana, and hit the road again to the Wreck. They just took a detour to JJ's house so he could change his clothes. Isis waited for him in the van, and he came back with a loose tank top she surprised herself to appreciate a lot more than she expected.
Then, they met Kie and Pope at the restaurant, and John B didn't take long to show up too. When he did, Isis stood to hug him.
"Oh my God, I missed you," she breathed as he hugged her back with his free arm.
"Uh, I'm pretty sure we've seen each other yesterday."
"Yeah. Before you fell from that tower, and made me worried sick all night."
"... I won't apologize for something I'm not to blame for."
"I know, dummy. Oh, that's not good," she said pointing the cast he had around his left wrist.
John B greeted everyone, and then big news came. He was actually staying at Sarah's house. As she saw Kie's face, Isis thought she did well not to tell her everything that happened in that waiting room.
"I'm sorry, you're staying where?" she scoffed as she wandered around the room to get them drinks.
"Tannyhill."
"So you're living with Sarah Cameron."
Isis rolled her eyes up, holding back a deep sigh.
"Okay, look," said John B. "The only reason I'm living there is because her dad bailed me out, right? And it's way better than foster care, which, by the way, is where I was about to go if Ward didn't--"
