Attention (Conrad)

You were on the Island with what was left of the pilot squad, Conrad, and Mason. As you all followed Conrad as he tried to get us to safety, you heard something. You all heard something, it was small but there was a snap, like branch, but less like a branch more like... bone.

Conrad stopped making everyone do the same, "no body move or say anything more," he whispered. You did as he told you for fear of your lives. He looked around and saw a crawler eating what looked like to be a dead buffalo or something of that nature. He looked into your eyes and you saw fear. You never thought you would, but you saw genuine fear.

"No one look around, but if you value your lives, stay as silent as you possibly can, either that or die."

You shivered as you felt more fear and adrenaline pump through you. You felt as if you could run for miles, and you really wanted to. You looked to Conrad as he shared another glance at you. This time he saw your fear and just looked sternly at you as if he were saying not to run, just stay calm, everything's going to be okay.

The crawler continued to eat the animal, contented in his food. You noticed a fallen tree and pointed to it, Conrad turned and saw the tree.

"Everyone make your way to the tree. We can hide there."

You slowly made your way to the tree when a loud roar made you run and hide quicker than anything. You all hid behind the tree and you saw Kong. He raced up to the crawler, holding to the ground and...

Snap

The crawler lay there dead with a broken neck. Kong walked away not noticing you all behind the wood.

You let out a long sigh and leant up against the bark, hugging your knees.

"Is everyone alright?" Conrad asked, everyone replying with shaky nods, except you. He looked over you checking for something invisible. You looked at him pale as a bed sheet. This was your first mission, and you didn't want it to be your last.

"y/n are you alright?" He saw how scared you were and placed ahand on your shoulder, "I promise you; you will be alright. I will protectyou."

A/N: I know this one is short, I didn't really feel the passion in this chapter. I didn't really have an idea for it either, so I tried to go with the flow. Leave your thoughts as always. ❤
