Thomas' POV
The snow began to fall, and a gruelling winter was setting in fast. I have to get rid of y/n; for her sake I need to let her go otherwise Lucille will kill her. I can't poison her; she is too beautiful to harm. However I know if I don't do anything Lucille will and it will end a lot worse than any other of the women.
I know that y/n is learning more about the home as she stays here. She has seen the basement and it'll only be a matter of time before she finds out about Crimson Peak...
--------
"Thomas!!!" I wake instantly to y/n screams coming from her- our room. I got up immediately and rushed to her. Lucille following close behind me.
"Thomas! Thomas, oh God Thomas." She cries.
"Y/n my darling what's the matter?" I embrace her in a tight hug and hold her as she weeps.
"I- there was a ghost I saw it I-I know I saw something. I know it was there!" She says looking up at me. All I could see in her gaze was fear and I wish I could take it all away.
"Oh don't worry dear you were probably just dreaming. This place does weird things to your dreams," Lucille remarks calmly. I look back at her with an evil glare.
"Lucille don't be stupid-"
"Thomas," she interrupted. We couldn't reveal who we were, but for y/n I would... I had to. I just didn't love Lucille like I did anymore.
"Thomas please," y/n sobbed into me and I kept gripping her shaking body tighter and tighter.
"I have had enough of this." Lucille grabbed y/n by the hair and screamed, "he doesn't love you and never will. You were meant to die ages ago... so why don't we speed up the process." She snarled at her while dragging her down the stairs. I tried to stop Lucille, but she did nothing.
She got to the doors and they flung open when she undid the lock. Lucille dragged y/n a little more out into the cold and threw her into the fresh freezing snow.
"Lucille stop this!" I yelled.
She turned to me and placed her hand on my cheek, "you love me brother. Not her. She will die and where will you be then... without her and without me. You could never be given the same love I give you. She is no one and will only show you pain when she is gone. I am here forever."
A tear flowed down her cheek. I know we were here for eternity, but I have never loved any woman, not even Lucille, like I have y/n... I can't let her die in the cold.
Y/n lay there, the cold surrounding her frail body and was looking at us with an understanding expression.
"You did this... you- you-"
"Yes dear. You aren't dreaming, we're dead." Lucille shut the doors and I cried. Being the younger sibling taught me that I have a place, and I followed rules. I never made them. Lucille held her hand out to me and I looked at her smug face.
"Why?" I snarled.
"Why?" She repeated scoffing, " I thought I have already made my point clear. Don't you understand Thomas? You don't love her-"
"I do," I breathed, "and I will not allow you to do this Lucille... I love her more than anything-"
"No," she choked, "you said you would never love anyone else."
"But I do, and I can't do anything... don't you want to get out of here? Don't you want to chang-"
She slapped me hard across the face as she cried, "NO!"
We stood in silence just looking at each other. My eyes where showing sympathy and sorrow. Hers where full of death and revenge.
"I want to leave this place Lucille... and I will do it. With or without you."
I reopened the doors to see y/n was still sat on the floor shuddering to keep warm. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and I scooped her up to take her inside where she could be warm... well warm enough.
"AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!" I heard Lucille scream and I felt a sharp pain penetrate my lower back. I dropped y/n and fell on my hands and knees. Y/n crawled away from me and gasped at the knife Lucille had stabbed into my back.
Lucille then went over to y/n scratching her face with her nails and slapping her so hard that she fell to the floor, hitting her head, and became unconscious.
"If I don't have you, then you won't have her," she said kneeling down, so we were face to face. I looked up at her, my face burning red and my eyes stinging with tears. Lucille grabbed the knife she'd stabbed me with and ripped it out of me. I fell to my side and looked up at Lucille with all the hurt and love I still had in me. She looked back at me, with the same sad eyes, then threw herself downwards and stabbed me again... and again... and again.
I could feel the darkness that I've been waiting for, for so long beginning to consume me. The last face I saw was y/n's. A red mark was visible on her cheek, her eyes were hardly open as she clawed at the mixture of 'clay', snow, and rotten wood.
"Y/n..." I say as I take my last breath. Then blackness....... I'm sorry y/n.
A/N: Again I know this didn't have much to do with snow. I was going to write this as y/n asking Thomas about the snow and the clay and her finally knowing what Crimson Peak means, like in the film, but I did this instead. I like the story line but it's just because I don't really know how to link some of the characters with the words, but others a better. What do you think? ❤
