A/N: In this story you get to know each other, so this isn't going to be specific to you, and I don't know when Tom learned to play the spoons so I'm going to pretend it was when he was at uni. And this is sort of based around me so you get to learn some stuff about me too.

"5 things you like to do?" Tom asks. You had recently met Tom at university, and he had asked you to get lunch one Sunday. You had gotten to know him and him you when you see each other all across Cambridge, where you've lived for all your life. At the moment you were sitting in a small café by the market square talking, eating, and watching the people walk around the market.

"Umm... I don't think I could name five things, but I'll give it a go. I play multiple instruments, I like to act and sometimes dance, but badly," you laugh.

"Oh I'm sure that's not true," he smiles.

"Thank you, but haven't seen me dance," you continue, "I used to like sports, like netball, and running however when I got into secondary school, I focused a lot more on the performance part of the school. Other than that... I don't really have anything else I like to do." You finished, taking another bite of your food.

"What about your friends? Don't you go out with them?"

"Yes, but everybody does that. If you want to learn about me then you want to learn about what makes me, me. Obviously, friends are important, but like I said everyone goes out with friends, it's not very unique." You say, making him look at you with an intriguing stare.

"Hmm I like that answer," you nod a thank you as he continues, "Your go."

"Okay... 4 things... no 4 weird pointless things that you have learnt," you reply before you continue eating.

"Oh! Alright, I don't think it's that pointless, but I can quote many Shakespeare lines," he begins.

"That's not pointless, but maybe a little weird that you've had that much time on your hands," you both laugh.

"Now that you say it, I think I went a little overboard, but at least I can quote them to the people I love," he smiles warmly, taking you hand and you get the feeling he meant you, meaning you blush just a little.

"Umm I can play the spoons and-"

"Wait you can play the spoons?!" You laugh.

"Oh yes and juggle," he replies, making you laugh even more.

"Now that's a pointless thing," you regained your breathing a bit, then carried on, "when did you learn?"

"I was at a party one night, not long ago, only about 5 months. A pretty boring party hence why I learnt. Everyone was quite drunk making me the designated driver. There was a tray of cutlery, picked up two spoons and went off to a corner where I spent about 2 hours figuring out how to play them." He said in all seriousness.

"Well next time I'm bored at a party or need some percussion for my music, I'll ask you for help," you begin to giggle again.

"You have my number."

You looked around the area to see if there would be anyone who would pay attention to either of you. It wasn't in your best interest to embarrass Tom, but you really wanted to see if he were telling the truth, "could you do it for me?" You ask, him returning a confused, but worried expression.

"Could you show me your skills," handing him your clean spoon.

"Of course," and with that he put the spoons together and started to play. You both laughed some more at the fact that you both looked utterly ridiculous though neither of you cared. Although he did get some weird glares from neighbouring tables, he was completely fine. He finished, handing your spoon back and you clapped at his little performance.

"Bravo Mr Hiddleston." You smiled. He took your hand and thanked you.

"Now Miss l/n tell me 3 things you like about me."

"Easy, 1: the fact that you were confident enough to splay the spoons in a public place like this, 2: you are the most understanding, kind person I have ever met, and 3: you are a good enough person not to make me think you are stringing me along," he looks at you with a worried face, "well I don't think that I'm the prettiest person you could've chosen to ask out to lunch, so the fact that we have met many times now makes me think you actually like me... and aren't just going to make fun of me for thinking that you liked me."

"Why would anyone do anything like that? Why would you think so low of yourself? I really like you hell-" he stood up and got up onto his chair, "ladies and gentlemen, I'm very sorry to disturb your lunches but I have something very important to say to my girlfriend," you looked up at him with a shocked face, his girlfriend...

"My girlfriend thinks that she isn't pretty, and she thinks that people only say that they fall in love with her to make fun of the fact that they strung her along for a joke. And I am standing on this chair, making you all aware of this because I love her, so much, and I want to make sure that she knows that. So... y/n do you understand that I love you, and I'm that I am deadly serious?"

You were dumbfounded and could hardly process what was happening. You felt embarrassed because he admitted your greatest insecurity to everyone around you, loved and shocked because he stood up and confessed his love and impressed that he went to such a length. You were still trying to gather your thoughts and only gave him a nod.

"I'm sorry darling, but I didn't hear you. Do you understand that I love you?" He repeated, jumping off the chair and taking your hand in his. He also pulled you up from your seat so that you were, almost, eye to eye.

"Yes Tom," you said nervously.

"Louder dear."

"Yes Thomas!" You yelled. there was an applause from around you and Tom pulled you in for a kiss. It only lasted a few seconds, but it still had the intensity a full make out session would've done. He looked deep into your eyes then rested his forehead on yours.

"I love you y/n. I love you so much." He whispered.

"I love you too. Thank you." You breathed.

"Would you like to go back to your room, I can teach you how to play the spoons?" You both laugh once more.

"Absolutely."

A/N: wasn't that cute. I hope you liked that ending, I really enjoyed it and the thought of how that scene would play in my head made me sort of feel a little better about myself. I wasn't lying about the fact that my body is my biggest insecurity. Anyway, I would love if you shared your thoughts, especially on this one. ❤
