Thomas saw something special in you, he didn't know what but when he chose you, he thought you were different. Lucille hated you for it. She tried her hardest to stay close to Thomas however, his love for you overpowered him. So he killed her for you. He didn't want to be stuck in time, never allowed to be away from the one place. Stuck knowing that he will live on, alone in the world waiting for that short moment where he could feel a false love.

You have never told Thomas about yourself fully. The reason why you are different is because you have no reflection. You are a vampire of sorts. You are like Thomas, you feed on poor lonely men with your charm and beautiful looks. Then when they have no one but you left in the world, you kill them, and take their money. No one would judge a widow with a blackened heart.

"Thomas," you sigh while you and Thomas lie on the grassy ground, up against a tree of a nearby park as you listen to him read Shakespeare.

"My love," he replies in a curious tone.

"Where do we go from here?" You ask. Thomas looks quizzically at you and closes the book, placing it neatly to his side and wraps his arm around the lower of your stomach.

"What do you mean my love?" He says lifting his hand up to your cheek, cupping it gently.

"What will we do with our lives now?"

Thomas looks around, analysing the people around you. He pauses for another moment before he looks back at your concerned face, "maybe we should talk at home my dear." He suggests and gives you his hand.

You two walk to your small home in the city. Thomas' childhood home sunk to the ground, and his want to leave his life behind him made him by a new home using the money you both have. It isn't much however it allows you both to live in peace.

You walk into the house straight to your bedroom, you take off your shoes leaving them by the wardrobe and take your jewellery off, leaving it on the mirrorless vanity desk. You walk past the only mirror in the room which points to the bed. Thomas has never seen what you truly are. At this point it is almost unbearable to keep hidden. However, you try your hardest, thinking you are not ready to do something like that.

Thomas was watching you keenly from the doorway. You smiled at him fondly as you removed the small necklace your father gave you for Christmas the year before he died.

"We have each other darling," Thomas says out of the blue, "that is what matters." He takes your hand and guides you to the bed, he sits down on the end and looks over your body, still holding both your hands.

"What if you were to die?"

"I promise I am not going to die," he sighs and smiles up at you, "as long as you promise the same."

"I promise."

"Come," Thomas stands up and leads you to the mirror, you instantly back away in fear of the truth. "Darling it is just a mirror," he laughs and points to the mirror, "there's nothing to-" he looks at the mirror and sees how he's holding the air. He freezes at the sight of nothing, his eyes going wide and his mouth opening in shock. He can't see your frown. He looks back at you and his eyes fall like yours at the sight of your self-disappointment.

"Why can't I see you?" He asks. You don't know whether it was fear or upset, but you didn't care to properly tell which.

You stare numbly into the mirror, pretending to look over yourself, stray tears roll down your face, only creating a short path for the next to follow, "I am like you... I live forever, taking souls so I get money. You are dead and kill women for a sport. I am half alive and I feast on the bloodline of lonely men." Tom takes both your hands again and stands close to you embracing your sadness, "you are a ghost... I am a vampire... we are both damned by God."

"No-" your head snaps up to Thomas' pale face streaked with tears. "We are not damned by God. If he wanted to damn us, then he wouldn't have put us together. We are meant to be together and I love you. I meant it."

"Will you leave?" You chocked.

He shook his head, "why would I?"

"Because- because-" you couldn't speak with the lump in your throat.

"Stop. I won't leave you for any reason. Do you know what 'I love you' means?" Thomas lifted your head with his finger and kept it there so you couldn't look down. You didn't move confirming his suspicions. He cupped your cheek, "it means that no matter what, I will love you for you . You accepted me when I told you who I was, why shouldn't I do the same for you? I love you y/n, and I wouldn't say it without meaning it."

You stood there staring at each other before finally talking, "I love you too."

A/N: well I think the ending was quite shitty but I didn't want to go over 1000 words. I hope you liked this one though. I don't like writing things about vampires because twilight is shit and has brought them down in my opinion. Anyway I hope you still liked this one. Share your thoughts. ❤
