A/N: So I have no other idea for this other than a dad tom x reader thing so I guess you're Tom's child now. In this story and because he's British the exams will be your GCSEs they are the tests you take when you're 15-16 years old if you didn't know. It's annoying to explain so just go with it, sorry. This is also gender neutral. Well trying to be anyway.

You unlocked the door to your house after an annoyingly stressful day at school. You are 16 and are taking your GCSEs soon. You've been revising since October, but you still feel like nothing is going in. Now you're starting to think that none of the techniques your teacher have recommended are working, and lately your theory is testing positive.

The day wasn't terrible until 4th lesson when you did a past paper in your English class for literature. Being Tom Hiddleston's child, people would think that your skills in literature would put you at the top of your class, year even. But no... you weren't terrible, but let's just say analysing texts wasn't your strong suit.

Almost everyone in your school knew that you were a Hiddleston, this meant that it was much harder to find friends who wanted to actually be your friend, and not just want to get to Tom through you. You were happy with the friends you had but had a lot more 'enemies' than you desired because of your want to be normal. The whole reason you get the bus to school is because you don't want more people scowling at you when you get out of your dad's Jaguar in the morning.

You shut the door behind you quietly, trying not to be noticed by your parents. You just wanted to get to your room and get on with your work, maybe crying in between out of stress. However, your dad heard you and called from the kitchen.

"Y/n! How was your day?" He shouted from the room. No getting out of this now.

"Good dad," you took off your coat, put it on the rack by the door and placed your bag on the floor underneath it so you could get it when you went upstairs.

"Just good eh?" He said as you walked into the room. You saw your mum helping him with dinner by peeling potato's by the sink.

"Hi sweetheart," your mum said lovingly.

"Hi mum." You sat on the stool, resting your arms on the kitchen island.

"Well then, why was your day only good?" Tom asked. You shrugged your shoulders and kept looking down at your folded arms.

"I don't know, I guess more and more people being arses for wanting your autograph."

Your parents knew about the friend problem but accepted not to do anything when you said it would only make matters worse.

"I'm sorry hun," your mum said, "we know it's hard for you. If we could take away those problems we would."

"I know mum," you glumly replied, "I'm just going to go upstairs, got homework to do." You slowly made your way to your room, making sure to pick up your bag on the way. You got to work when you entered the room on an English lit. paper 2, although only writing the question on the blank lined paper made you breakdown crying.

Tom's POV

I watched as y/n walked all mopey upstairs to their room. I noticed that Natalie was watching also. But she turned back to dinner so we could get that done before bed.

"I don't think that was the reason why y/n's day was so bad, they're never that upset when they come home complaining about it." I say.

"I know baby, but it may have just gotten a bit worse. You know how annoying people can be sometimes darling." Natalie looks back to the door in sympathy and I walk over to her, wrapping my arms around her waist.
