Shouto notices the class being oddly supportive of his little mannerisms. (TW: panic attack mention)

Shouto wasn't typically good at hiding his regression. He kept the most important parts a secret, like his paci and sippy cups, but sometimes he couldn't help feeling his little mannerisms sneak into his everyday life.

And for some reason, the people around him were okay with that.

It all started when Shouto had a panic attack in training, involuntarily slipping in response to some resurfaced trauma.

He was sparring with Bakugou, which didn't make anything better since he knew how much he would be teased for this. Even so, his bawling didn't cease, way too overwhelmed to process his emotions.

It was a surprise to see Bakugou stop. He very visibly sighed and rolled his eyes but didn't say anything more. Shouto expected him to taunt him but watched as the blond detached from his gauntlets and moved over to him.

Shouto flinched back, Bakugou took no offence and gently picked him up and carried him towards their teachers, who had been paying attention to other kids to notice the incident.

Shouto was still non-verbal, confused as he was shifted/shoved into Aizawa's arms. Their teacher was just as confused.

"He had a panic attack. Take him to the nurse or dorms. I don't care." That was all Bakugou said before turning on his heel and walking back to his gauntlets, going over to another pair to fight with.

After that incident, things started getting weird.

One morning, he was attempting to make some cereal and accidentally spilled half of it on the floor. Shouto was whining quietly with tears in his eyes just when Momo walked in.

To his surprise, she didn't question him on it. Instead, she comforted him. After, she helped him clean up and sent him on his way with a new bowl of cereal.

The very next day Shouto was about to make cereal again when he was surprised to find all the bowls had been replaced with swivel ones that were made to prevent spills. The cereal box also had a weird square cap that made it easy to pour cereal from.

Little Shouto was happy, but big Shouto was confused and a little embarrassed.

He was caught gnawing on his pencil's eraser by Uraraka in the middle of a silent study. Shoto flushed in embarrassment and looked away from her smiling confused face. She never said anything, which he was grateful.

The next day she handed out little cute animal caps to put on everyone's pencils. The material was a chewy rubber that really helped Shouto calm down in class.

Again, little Shouto was ecstatic, and big Shouto tried not to read too much into it.

On one of their class shopping trips, Shouto's attention latched onto the baby aisle. Tsu was the one that walked with him down there. Her excuse was needing to get something for her younger siblings. But Shouto thought they weren't that young?

He dismissed it, at least walking with Tsu was a good excuse to marvel at the baby items.

On the very same day, they all bought animal onesies and forced Shouto to hang out with them in the common room. Not before sticking him in a cat onesie they especially bought for him too.

They sat him down right in the middle on the couch, wedged in between Midoriya and Jirou where they kept him engaged in games and funny conversations. A kiddie movie played in the background for everyone to laugh at.

He had a hard time not slipping that night.

Now, he started having his suspicions when he struggled to open the wrapper of his snack at the break. Kirishima just happened to be walking by at the right moment.
