Who's The Alien?

(One Piece X Reader) You always thought you were mundane, especially with how incredible the rest of the universe seems to be, but apparently, you were far from it in everyone else's eyes.

"What the fuck?!" You watched in alarm as Luffy and the rest of his crew backed away from you as steam drifted out of your wound.

You yourself were pretty freaked out, like you always knew the first time you'd get injured out here, it probably wouldn't be pretty- but this was beyond your expectations.

Your blood was fucking steaming.

"Guys-" "stay back!" You were shocked by the intensity in Zoro's shout, and it was even emphasized by the alien extending his claws to you, a silent threat.

You didn't quite get it until a drop of your blood fell to the floor of the spaceship, and the small spot where it landed began to steam up as well, much to your mortification.

Cradling your small cut to your chest, you felt dread build up inside as they shuffled close to each other, each person giving you fearful looks.

"What- What's going on?!" Nami recoiled when you took a step towards her, and seeing the expression of unbridled terror, you decided to stay in your corner.

"(Y/n), calm down and listen to me, your blood is.. acidic.." Chopper scuttled towards his kit and began to rummage through it.

You blinked, "acidic..?"

Luffy hummed curiously- but you could also see the apprehension dancing along his unusually tense body, "what planet did you say you were from again?"

As Luffy spoke, Chopper approached you, albeit cautiously, and there was a small spark of hurt seeing the young critter dressed up in what seemed to have been safety gear, in his hands looked to be what must have been medical supplies.

"I'm from Earth.. in the Milky Way galaxy?"

There was a chorus of gasps, and Chopper swiftly backtracked to where he previously stood- a little off ways from Robin, "the- the Milky Way galaxy?!"

You didn't visibly react to their reactions, but still grimaced inwardly, "is.. that a problem?"

Usopp shrieked in fear, "the Milky Way galaxy?! No way you've been there! That place is a death trap!" You only felt more and more confused as they spoke.

"Um.. I've lived there my whole life..? There's literally nothing that's all that dangerous compared to the shit I've seen out here.."

Sanji's lips curled in distaste, and you could see the way his fur was beginning to bristle, "(Y/n), dear, there's no way anyone could survive in that galaxy"

You pursed your lips, starting to feel miffed by their insistence, "and why is that?"

Chopper clung to Robin's form, clinging to as much of her that her consistency would allow, "the Milky Way galaxy is known as a death zone! It's full of acid- once you enter a planet's atmosphere there, you'll be dissolved, bones and all in moments!"

You deadpanned, totally feeling lost, were you guys talking about the same galaxy?

"Um, what acid is this? Does it have a name?"

Robin- who has calmed down considerably since you got cut, stepped forwards with a nervous pout, however, you could tell that she was already thinking something up behind those fearful eyes, "I believe it's called dihydrogen oxide.."

You paused at the name, recognizing it, but where... your eyebrows shot up in realization, "dihydrogen oxide.. you mean water?!"

Your jaw dropped as Robin thought for a moment before nodding, "I believe I've heard people use that term for it"
