Taeyong had been mulling over the thought for a while now - a while translating to when he cried a week ago, but he chose to forget that as much as it was seared into his mind, bright and beautiful. Yes, he had been thinking about doing this for a while.

"I think we have to end this," Taeyong said finally, and Seonghwa stopped sipping on his coffee. Taeyong hadn't even touched his yet. It was just sitting inbetween his two hands, vacantly warming them. It was just for show anyway - he was more of a tea guy.

"End what?" Seonghwa put placed his drink down gently, watching Taeyong chewing on his bottom lip. He had scolded Taeyong for that habit one too many times and besides, now wasn't exactly the time.

Taeyong mimed a hand between them. This didn't have a name. They weren't exclusive and they most certainly weren't in any form of a relationship, Taeyong made that clear from the beginning. They were just really touchy friends who occasionally gave each other kisses and went out on a friendly dates. Yeah, just friends.

"Do you mean our relationship?" Seonghwa laughed, and Taeyong grimaced at the word. "We can stop it if you'd like. I kinda had a feeling you'd say this, so it's fine." Seonghwa flashed a bright smile at him.

Taeyong couldn't help but feel guilty. There was Seonghwa being so nice even during and after knowing Taeyong had used him. He hadn't actually recalled Seonghwa ever getting angry at him either, his niceness was overbearing sometimes.

Taeyong gave him a tight lipped smile and Seonghwa laughed loudly. "We can still be friends, right? Without all the touching and stuff," Seonghwa said, his face turning pink.

"Friends," Taeyong affirmed softly and they smiled at each other. He didn't think it'd be as simple as that, he had expected a lot more anger and some not so nice words but all they did was talk a bit more before Seonghwa had to go and Taeyong watched him rustle up from his seat in the coffee shop.

"Just.. make sure you go to him," Seonghwa said at the door with a knowing smile before pushing it open and smiling. Taeyong blushed furiously at his cup. They both knew.

Taeyong rounded the corner to his apartment, jingling the keys in his hand. His dad had allowed him to move out after the incident two years ago but they stayed in touch every week. He slowly got closer to his father overtime, they weren't the best of friends or anything but it was nice to be pleasant and cordial and sometimes even share a laugh.

After he moved out, he realised the freedom he had wanted so desperately, the freedom that had landed him in trouble and in love with Jaehyun, wasn't as sweet as he thought. Maybe after the first month or two of moving out but now everything it was relatively monotonous. And he sort of missed the scurry of maids around the house all the time. Still, he wouldn't go back.

As he came closer to the stairs of his apartment, he saw a head of familiar, dark hair and his breath hitched.

There, standing at the steps of his apartment stood Jaehyun with a bouquet of flowers. White roses to be precise. Taeyong felt his heart soar out of his chest, but opposed to this warm feeling, he stepped forward with a snarl.

"What are you doing here?" He scoffed, and Jaehyun turned around with a smile. It was hard to keep being so angry and full of resentment when Jaehyun was looking at him like that.
