~ The New Her Is The Picture On The Side, She's Gonna Dye Her Hair Later On In The Chapter.

I run out of the school and look for Justin. Huh, no sign of him.
"Mason! I'm your ride today!" Kellin yells.
"Oh hey." I smile and get in the car with him.
"How was school?" He asks, never knew he'd be interested.
"It was great, I had dance and art for most of it again. I met a friend, called Jack. He's awesome and is in my dance class."
"Sounds like you love dance, your eyes light up when you talk about it." Kellin laughs. I nod, blushing slightly. "Justin's gone to get food." I nod again and scroll through my Instagram.
Kellin parks haphazardly next to the bus. "At least your driving is better than your parking." I smirk.
"Hey! That was mean!" He laughs. We sit there in silence for a while.
He leans in. Shit. Shit. Shit.
Kellin kisses me. He kissed me. Oh god.
"What the fuck?" Someone yells from outside to car. Justin. I didn't kiss back though, Kellin kissed me! I get out of the car and grab my bag.
"I hate you Kellin! You just messed this up for me!" I yell to Kellin, who is running his hands through his hair.
"Calm down Mason!" Justin yells. "I'm not mad!"
"What?" I ask. "You're not mad? Are you insane? Kellin just kissed me, normally a guy would go mad, even though I didn't kiss back." I explain.
"That's exactly why. Kellin seems so sorry and you're shocked. You're still a teenager Mas, no way am I gonna put you through hell. You have enough stress lately." Justin explains. I run up to him and hug him tightly.
"I'm sick of looking young, so I'm gonna change my look." I tell him. "Can you lend me some money for hair dye?"
"Mason, you'll be beautiful either way." I shake my head, he lends me $10 and I kiss his cheek, before taking off running.

I walk calmly into the drug store, heading straight for the hair dye. I'm sick of the blue now, it's faded and I won't get a job with it.
It's time to grow up.
I look through them, there's so many! I'm going to go for a brown, a caramel colour.
Perfect.
I pick up a nice caramel colour in a decent brand and walk to the counter with it.
"That's $10, exactly please Miss." The cashier smiles, I hand her the money and smile back, walking straight out of the store to my house.

I have to admit, I look good as a brunette.

Lucky for me, I managed to do all of my studying while I was waiting for the hair dye to sink in and while I was plucking up the courage to actually dye it. And I like it!
"Mason? It's Mom, you're home?" She opens the door and her eyes widen. "Where's my blonde baby gone?"
"She's still here, Mom." I say.
"Oh, Justin's here, wondering if you wanted to go out for dinner with some friends. He also said dress expensive and formal?"
"Sure, I'll be 5 minutes." I nod and walk over to my closet, pulling out a dress I've only wore once before and smile.
He'll be in some form of suit, so will whoever will be there, whatever girls the guys are bringing along will be in an expensive dress. Why not me? Just because I'm 19, doesn't mean I can't afford nice things.
