I drop my bag on the grass and collapse onto the floor, I'm already tired. Lili can't stop looking at my hand, it's funny that she's trying to be subtle, no ones noticed anyway.
"I just can't believe it, Mas." She smiles, getting all giddy, looking at her, you wouldn't think she was hyper.
"Nor can I, I'm just so excited. I'm going to be-" I'm cut off by a bunch of jerks walking past us. The same one winks at me, I flip him off and get up, it's my cue to get to class. Lili hugs me goodbye and I make my way to art, I have it once a day, sometimes more.
Mr Davies smiles as I walk into the classroom. "Nice of you to join us, Mason."
"The pleasure is all yours, sir." I fake smile at sit down.
"My girl is sassy!" The guy laughs from behind me. I roll my eyes and run my fingers through my hair. He comes up to me. "Actually, Mas, what's that on your finger?"
Busted.
"First of all, I'm not your girl. And second of all, this links to it, I'm actually engaged." The girls all nearly pass out, they run over to look at the ring on my hand.
"That's adorable!"
"I'm so happy for you!"
"He's lucky!"
"It's gonna be amazing."
I laugh at their fussing, Mr Davies tells them to get back to their seats, they oblige, only because most of them 'swoon' for him. Well, they half oblige and sit at my table, which is normally empty because I use all of the workspace. "You'll have a baby soon, too!" Hanna squeaks.
"Also too late, I found out yesterday that I'm having a baby." I say to them all. I get the same reaction, but ten times more squealing and exclaiming.
"Enough ladies! We're all happy for Mason, we're all going to support her, but for now, I'd like you to create a piece to do with your life." Mr Davies calms them down for me, as if he can sense that they're irritating and tiring me out.
I take out a pencil and start to sketch two small handprints onto my page, along with flowers.
Justin: How's it going? x
Me: Good, I'm in art, so I'll drop by later x
Justin: That's fine by me!
I smile to myself. How did I get lucky?
After all I put my parents through, I now feel scared. I should've had a little brother, but it was my fault.
What if...
Tears start to gather in my eyes as the bell rings, I pack everything away and rush out of the classroom, avoiding completely everyone. I find Lili and break down in her arms.
"What's up?" She asks and strokes my upper back to relax me.
"I'm scared, after all I put my mom through, I could lose my baby too." I choke up and cry some more. "I don't want that, Lili."
"We'll all look after you, Mas. Don't worry your pretty little head."

I sit on the bench and get my headphones out, plug them in and start to listen to Of Mice & Men, quietly may I add. I also pull my copy of 'looking for Alaska' out, by John Green and start to read it.
Someone throws some scrunched up paper at me, I growl and turn around. "What guys?" I snap.
"Mason's gone and got herself knocked up. Nice one." One smirks.
"Slut." Another one scoffs. "Isn't he a little old?"
"It's three years, not that much." I put my headphones back on. The ringleader pulls them off.
"Hey, bitch! We were talking to you!" He yells.
"Do you mind?!" I snap. "I don't want this today, there's a lot on my mind!" They laugh at me. I roll my eyes and put my headphones back on and stand up, shoving a tall guy out of the way.
I run to the dance studio, throw my stuff on the floor, take off my shoes and plug my phone into the stereo. I shuffle my playlist and smile when 'Miss Jackson' comes on, then start to dance.
*
"Sorry, I didn't realise you'd be in here." Someone apologises.
"It's fine." I continue my piece on 'For Baltimore', it reminds me of Long Beach. The person is still there, I haven't heard the door closing. Rolling my eyes, I pause the music and look up. "Did you want something?" I ask and take a gulp from my water.
"No, I was just watching." He smiles from the doorway, his smile was gorgeous. This guy was in general.
Bad Mason! You've got Justin!
Doesn't mean I can't look...
"Can I call you a creep then?" I ask, smiling.
"You can call me Logan," he says. "But creep does work. And by your sass, I'm guessing you're Mason Staplynn, or whatever your last name is going to be now."
"I knew you were a creep." I tease. "And it'll be Hills." This guy is quite attractive, no joke.
{AN// played by Logan Lerman, picture on side.}
He laughs. "You can definitely dance, I like acting more."
"I'm not into that whole scene, I'll have to stop dance for a while though. Justin's fault."
"That flip didn't seem to bother you much." He shrugs. I flip him off and shake my head. "You're quite a character," he laughs.
"And you're not?" I answer back.
"That was a good comeback. We are equally both characters, although I probably am more, I'm older than you."
"And creepier." Grinning, I add.
"If I didn't know any better, I think you would be complimenting me. What are you doing later? Great, nothing, do you want to go for a coffee after this period finishes?" He asks. He's bold, I like it.
"Sure thing, Creep." I smile and carry on playing music, dancing along to it.
*
Logan offered to buy my coffee, it was nice of him, since I forgot to bring money with me today.
I stare out of the window, sipping on the hot liquid and thinking. "Mason, hey?" Logan waves his hand in front of my face and laughs.
"Sorry, I zoned out." I shrug and place my mug down on the table.
We start talking, laughing and joking, but then someone has to make a scene...
"Mason?!" Justin asks.
"Hey, Justin." I smile and look back over to Logan, who is suddenly very uncomfortable. Justin is just stood there. "Can I help you?" I ask.
"No, not at all."
"It's just, you seem to be staring at my friend."
"Hi, I'm Logan." He smiles and puts his hand out, Justin doesn't shake it though. I shake my head.
"Listen, Logan, I better be going. Thanks again for the coffee, I'll see you around." I get up and grab my bag, storming out of the coffee shop, Justin on my heels. I get in the car and Justin drives to his place, I don't fancy arguing in public.
"Why did you react like that?" I ask.
"Mason! It's another guy!" Justin yells.
"He's not competition!" I yell, matching his loudness.
"How do I know that, Mason? How do I know if you've been seeing this guy?" I shake my head. "How do I know if I'm even the father of your child?" He exclaims. I raise my eyebrows, why is he being so dumb? He doesn't trust me. Wow.
"Is this what it's about? You think I was cheating on you with Logan?" He nods. "You're pathetic, Justin." I sigh and pick up my things.
"Mason!" He yells after me.
"What?! You obviously don't trust me! You're a real ass, you know that." I'm not going to lie to him, there's no point. The guy needs to know when he's being a complete ass, I just can't believe he doesn't trust me. Like, what?
"Don't go." He says, grunting in defeat.
"How do I know if this will even work? Us?"
"Come on, Mas! I've pleaded with you."
"One more night."

I've decided there's only going to be another chapter or two left of this, and I'm so excited for it!
