"One more night." I whisper and follow him upstairs.
I don't think he understands, I mean one more night. We aren't going to work if he doesn't trust me, he quite clearly doesn't. Why would he flip off about going for a coffee with someone?
"You're too beautiful, I don't want to lose you." He says.
"One more night." I whisper to myself, he'll get me to stay otherwise.
Me: Lili, this is important to me, pack all of my things. Now, I'll pick them up early tomorrow.
Lili: Why? I'm packing my things too then.
Me: Fine, I'll explain tomorrow, be up, I'll be there at 7.
I put my phone on a stack of Justin's drawers. He kisses my neck from behind.
This is such a hard decision to make.
*
It's 6am, I'm up, even though I've only had 5 hours sleep. Justin snores beside me.
I slip out of his arms and scavenge in the dark for my clothes. Jeans, shirt, shoes. Done. I slip them on, grab my phone off the drawers and run downstairs.
My heart is racing, is this what I want? No, it's what I need, for now.
'My one love,
It's so hard to make this choice. It's just what I need. Justin, I can't do this anymore, I need a break. We can't keep arguing, it's not healthy for me. Don't try to contact me for a few months, I'll contact you. To put your mind at rest, I will still be having the baby and for you giving it your surname. I'm going to give you back the engagement ring though. Do you think I really want to do this though?
We can't go on if you can't trust me, I met Logan yesterday, we went for a coffee that's all. You're just too paranoid.
I love you. I left a song for you on your phone.
You taught me to feel ~ good and bad. To feel Love and to feel Anger and Regret.

I slip the note on the side, lay the engagement ring back there and grab his phone, leaving a tab open on a song.
Shit. I hear footsteps upstairs. Not good. Not good at all. I run out of the house, leaving the front door open and run to my apartment.

"Lili, I'm leaving Justin, that's why." I say. She's sat on the couch, two cases next to her.
"What?!" She exclaims, all of the tiredness leaving her.
"He doesn't trust me, we need a break. I don't know where I'm going-" I ramble.
"Where we're going. I'm not going to let you go on your own, I'd be a sucky best friend otherwise."
"We need to go now though, I heard him moving about upstairs."
She nods, I grab my stuff, she grabs hers and we head out to the car, I'm suddenly very glad I got a Honda.
I pull out of the car park of the apartment complex and drive away, meeting the freeway very soon.

It's 6:15, where's Mason? Why would she be awake? Maybe, it's morning sickness or something.
I check the bathroom. Nope. My heart starts to race, I run downstairs, the front door is wide open, letting the cold morning breeze in. I close it, has someone broke in?
I go into the kitchen, she's not there. "Mason?" I yell. No answer. "MASON?" I yell even louder, still no answer.
Why is my phone on the counter? I walk to it, there's a note too.

What? She's left me. I pick up the ring she left on the side and a tear rolls down my cheek. She's gone and it's all my fault.
I made her leave!
I pick up my phone and unlock it. Ironic. 'One More Night' by Maroon 5 is playing, she meant it. She kept saying it and I ignored it because I'm ignorant!
She meant too much, that's why I was paranoid.
The song repeats itself loudly and I collapse onto my knees, crying. I fumble for the note and read it again and again.
She's keeping the baby, she still loves me, she said so. I won't contact her, it's what she wants, I'll leave it until after her due date, I at least know that.
She knows I want a girl called Evie, knowing my luck, that'll happen and I have blown it!
I call Kellin.
"Justin, it's 7am!" Kellin groans.
"Kell," I begin, sobbing.
"What's wrong?" He asks. "Is Mason okay? Is the baby okay?"
"Mason's left me." I whisper. It's hard to admit it. "It's all my fault."
"I'm on my way." He sighs and hangs up, leaving me in silence, until I start crying again.
*
Kellin runs in and I just hold the note out for him. He re-reads it many times before sighing.
"She's gone." I tell him.
"Where's the ring?" He asks. I stop turning it over and over in my hands and show it to him. "Oh man." He bites his lip. "It said to not contact her for a few months, try and find her after. Do you think it was easy for her? There's a teardrop on this paper, and it's not yours, it's dried and has eyeliner on it."
"Give it a while." I say quietly.
"Yeah, don't worry." He says.
How am I not meant to worry? I won't know if she's okay, I won't know if the baby is okay! But I bought this upon myself, it still hurts to know. We talked and talked last night about our future, but she knew in the back of her mind and was going along with my plans.
Me: Lili, tell Mason I love her. Please just do it for me.
Lili: Okay, just give her time.
"Time," I scoff. "How much time is she going to need?!" I yell, standing up and throwing the nearest thing, which is a glass.
"Calm down man!" Kellin says. "Let me clean this up, you need to control your anger. I hate to say it, but it's your fault."
