ANDY

It's been a month since Greg and Tess had their fight.

In a hundred years, I could have never predicted that Greg and Tess would break up.

The way Greg would gush about her all the time, Tess this, Tess that and Tess again, who could've known?

And now he's dating Will like it's the only thing that he has ever wanted to do in life.

Personally, I think Will wants Greg all to himself so he's influencing Greg. I don't want to rule out the possibility that he's the real antagonist here.

Meanwhile, my life's been smooth. Greyes did not agree to officially date me, but we do else everything that comes with it.
It's called unofficial dating.

Man, she's one hot chick.

Her bright blue hair falls over her laughing face as I tell her this.

"Really? You think so?" She asks, still smiling.

Should I mention the fact that she's also extremely beautiful?
Yeah, I should.

"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, Grace," I tell her with an intense look.

Greyes succumbs to more giggles.

"That's actually strange, Andrew. Everyone always said that Heather was the pretty one." She says, a slightly sour look on her face as she thinks of her twin sister.

Heather is one of the most annoying people that I have ever had the misfortune to meet.
She thinks she's pretty, but she looks like a clown with all her makeup and tiny clothes.

Also, she goes around throwing herself on guys, her latest being Adam White.
He was actually the perfect match for her, both have horrendous personalities.
I can't figure out why they broke up.

"You are a hundred times better than her, I'm telling you. Your blue hair is one major factor." I run my hand over her hair, inhaling the scent.

"It's teal, to be more specific", she replies, her mouth curving into a half-smile. I lean in and connect my mouth to that adorable smile.

Once the kiss is done, she draws away from me. Squaring up her shoulders, she starts talking seriously, "Only till the wedding you know. We're breaking up the second our parents get married."

If they ever get married, I think to myself.

"We don't even have an official relationship yet. What are we even going to break up?" I ask her, my eyes aiming her lips again.

She notices my gaze and gets up from the bed. I guess she doesn't want to get too attached to me.
According to her, it's going to be hard when we break up later.

I'm going to make sure that that's not going to happen. I can't imagine breaking up with her.

I'm back to my intense staring again, the one that she can't say no to. Then, I'm proven wrong.

"No Andrew, it's not official and it's not forever. So quit it." Greyes says strictly.

Damn, she was less uptight when she was my friend.
But she also wouldn't let me kiss her back then.

I try to think of a witty comeback when my phone rings.

I see that my dad is calling me.

"Is it him?" Greyes asks.
"Yes..." I reply, suddenly feeling nervous. I pick up the call.

"Hey, Dad!" I try to sound confident.

My face falls as I hear his proposal.

"Yes, I know her... Yes, the very same. But why her?"

Greyes eyes me with apprehension. "Who?" she mouths. I shake my head at her.

"Okay, I get it", I nod, "So we meet next week? Same place? Okay."

The call ends. It was a work call after all. My dad and I never bond, maybe except over guns and weapons.

He's the leader of the mafia gang after all. Unfortunately, I'm next in command.

Talk about leading a double life.

"Another job?", Greyes asks me worriedly.

"Yup. It's not even the usual." I struggle to string together the right words.

Greyes gives me a hug. "You don't have to explain."

"No, I need to." I shake my head at her.
"You know DSC, right? The company that supplies home needs and stuff?" I start by explaining the tiny details.

Greyes nods. I think she's guessed where it's leading.
She's damn smart that way.

"You also know YBC? Their rival company? See, the head of YBC contacted Dad."

Greyes eyes widen. I continue anyway.

"So, it seems that the head of YBC had some fight with DSC, so he wants to ruin them. Like forever.
He told us to target the next heir of the company."

"Which is a he... Benjamin Sanders."
Greyes looks puzzled.

"Apparently, Benjamin died today. In a car crash, supposedly a suicide. So, I don't have to target him". I shrug uncertainly.

"Which means... Oh my God!" Greyes gasps at me, realisation dawning upon her.

I nod at her sadly.

"Yup, I have to murder Leah Sanders, who's next in line for DSC..."
