LEAH

I wake up with a smile on my face.

Then I look down to see myself wrapped in a light blue blanket, sleeping on someone else's bed.

My eyes immediately wander to the surroundings, and, I find myself in an unfamiliar room. The room is elegant, the walls a deep rich blue, the curtains of a similar shade. The bedspreads are blue too but of a lighter hue.

Where am I?
I think of last night.

Unless...this was Adam's room?
Holy Crap, was I in his room!
Had much more happened last night than what I had remembered?

Did we do the thing?
I look down to see that I was, in fact, fully clothed.
Besides Adam didn't seem like the guy to do such a thing.

Typical me, worrying about everything as always.

I fall back on the bed, trying to memorise as much of it as I can. The mattress is firm but soft, much like his chest.
I inhale into the blankets deeply, trying to sense his wonderful smell.
I find none.

Instead, the door opens, and Greyes walks in.

She already looks dressed, however, her teal-blue hair is as messy as ever. Her walk seems careless, but her grey eyes survey me like I'm a ticking time bomb.

I notice that she's carrying a mug of coffee in one hand, and something wrapped in paper.

Woah... She's brought me coffee, that's so sweet! I do need to be nicer to her.

"You needn't have bothered," I say with a light laugh and flick of my head.

She stops in her tracks and raises an eyebrow, looking clueless. "What?"

"I mean the coff-"

I stop speaking as she takes a huge gulp from the mug.

Then I realise, it is her own mug of coffee ...

I really wish the earth would break open to swallow me, why am I like this?

I think she's figured out what I am thinking, because she says, "I do have something for you too."

She places the package wrapped in paper on the bedside table.

"What..." I start when she cuts me off.

"The punch yesterday was spiked. Not with alcohol, but a more potent drug", she says.

Well, that explains Tess getting high on the punch too soon.

"These pills help to reduce the after-effects."

I remove the paper and look at the pills. They didn't seem like the normal hangover pills that I usually took.

"Thanks. But how do you know that?" I ask.

She looks straight at me, "Because I'm the one who spiked it."

I look back at her, shocked.

Greyes seems unfazed by my reaction.

"I expected this from you, especially when your friend treats me like a terrorist." She tells me bluntly, and continues to speak,
"It's okay, it happens when you're a drug dealer. I don't give two shits though."

My jaw drops. I am at a total loss for words.

Greyes seems to analyse my expression, then she speaks, "So you don't know the rumours, huh? Didn't Teresa tell you?"

I shake my head. So this is why Tess hated her?

"Where am I?", I ask her, in an attempt to change the topic.

"This? It's my room."

"But it's so clean and..." I look around the room. My bedroom looked like a dumpster compared to this, with my clothes strewn everywhere.

"You're point being?" Greyes asks sharply.

"Oh, I mean it's really clean and orderly. I didn't think you were a neat freak." I say, hoping she wasn't offended.

"I'm all kinds of freak," Greyes says shortly.
She gives me a look, but it's not hostile.

"So, um, why am I here?" I ask her slowly. Despite being easy to talk to, Greyes was honestly a bit scary.

Then I scold myself mentally for thinking that. I was Leah Sanders, and I spoke to everyone without judging them.

"I brought you back from the party. Nice, huh? Bet you loved sniffing my blankets", she grins, completely enjoying the horrified look on my face.

Why did she have to bring me back? Wasn't Adam there with me? Unless he left me alone...

"I saw you sleeping in one of the bedrooms of the frat house," Greyes explains.
"I wouldn't have bothered, except there were some really horny guys, eyeing you like a piece of meat..." she pauses, her sharp eyes uncertain.

"So I brought you here, after shooing them away. Somehow guys are really scared of me," she adds with a laugh, trying to lighten me up.

I stare at her, thanking my lucky stars that she brought me back safe.
"Thank you so much. You've helped me a lot, I can't owe you enough", I tell her with a smile, getting off the bed.

My smile vanishes when I think of where Adam had disappeared last night. Did we get so drunk that I don't remember him leaving?

I straighten my dress, then add casually, "You didn't see my friends yesterday, did you?"

Her face goes white, for some reason.

"I saw them leaving, Greg with Tess. That's all", she answers.

I must have shown the shock at being abandoned at the party because Greyes shakes her head.

"It wasn't like that. I guess they assumed that you were with some guy", she talks quickly, not wanting me to think that they had left me alone.

"But I was with a guy," I tell her. "Adam White."

Greyes visibly relaxes and raises her eyebrows playfully at me, "Going places Sanders", she says, looking impressed.

Adam and I were just talking, and maybe cuddling.
But she thinks we did the thing.

I don't bother to correct her as I leave.

"Thanks for everything, Greyes."
